THE 2019 WEST SIDE NUT CLUB FALL FESTIVAL ADOPTABLE PET SADIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!

The inaugural Fall Festival pet featured in the media starting last week, Sadie, has been adopted!

She went home with a local family who had previously adopted a dog from VHS. They also had two other dogs, bringing their total canine family to 4!

The VHS team checked in with them on Tuesday and said she is doing quite well. The family had been considering adopting her, but when they saw her featured in the media, they knew they’d better grab her before someone else did.

While her new family cannot attend the Fall Festival parades on Saturday, a VHS volunteer will be picking her up and bringing her to both the Pet Parade and the Main Parade.

The public is encouraged to participate in the Pet Parade. It is 100% free with 8 categories for costume judging! The Pet Parade is on Saturday, October 12th. Lineup begins at 8:00, judging at 9:00, and the parade itself at 10:00. Participants meet in the parking lot of St. Boniface Church at 418 N Wabash Avenue, 477
