Mole #3’s Prediction Comes True

Evansville Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel called a news conference at the C.K. Newsome Center today to announce that after careful consideration he will not seek a third term as Mayor of Evansville. He did not elaborate on his plans for beyond January 1, 2012 when he will hand the keys to the City of Evansville over to a new Mayor.

This is a developing story

  1. It’s Rick Davis time! I’m ready for serious talk about finally turning downtown around. I’m also more excited than ever about the future of Roberts Stadium with this latest development. Things are looking up!

  2. Just watched Les Shively, John Friend and that goofy O’Daniels fellow on WTVW discussing the Mayor’s decision. John Friend said, in regard to Weinszapfel running for governor, that he thought Bob Orr was the best governor ever and that “anytime someone from S.W. Indiana runs for governor, we should all get behind him.” My question then for John Friend is: “If Jonathan Weinszapfel decides not to run for governor, and Richard Mourdock does decide to run for governor, will John Friend be all in behind Mourdock?”

  3. I beleive he is quiting because there is no way he would be re-elected. He’s tried everything in the book to ruin the city. Now he wants Vandygov to pay for all his debts he created
