Democrats Amend Campaign Finance Report to Include $11,474.64 of Debt

27

The much maligned Vanderburgh County Democrat Party amended the false campaign finance report filed on October 21, 2011 to reflect a debt of $11,474.64. All of the debt was incurred well prior to October 21, 2011 report deadline and payments were being made so there is no possibility that the earlier false report was not known about by Democrat officials.

Itemization of Debt:

Burkert Walton Inc. $777.40

SMG for October 2010 Jefferson Jackson Dinner: $7,614.86

The Bauerhaus for Awards Dinner: $3,082.38

Total Debt Reported: $11,474.64

In another peculiar circumstance when compared to other campaign finance reports, a number of checks made out to Justin A. Jarvis, the Political Director and classified as salary were not accompanied by any payments for payroll taxes or FICA contributions.

The full report will be posted soon:

  1. Didn’t pay their FICA taxes? What kind of a show are these goons running? Anyone knows you can not get away with that.

    • I find it interesting that Mr. Grafton, in one of his postcard mailings, accuses John of not paying a bill, one that John had no control over, when Mr. Grafton himself hasn’t paid some of his company’s bills on time. One serious one in particular is the state and local payroll withholding taxes that should be remitted on a monthly basis. During some periods of time, they were months behind. Withheld payroll taxes aren’t even the company’s money to spend. It’s part of the employees salaries that are withheld to be submitted to the state ON BEHALF of the employees. Other debts were paid late or not paid until someone asked for payment.

  2. He’s probably paid as a consultant or contractor. Not sure why they would list his payments as salary, though. Sloppy and dumb, as usual.

      • LOL….maybe they should have had John Friend look over it before submitting it the second time.

I wonder if the money they owe Burkert Walton is for elect Troy signs from the primary?

        JMHO

  3. Mark Owens is nothing but a thug.. Might I also add a thief to. To think that The Democrat Central Committee would stiff any local bussiness doesn’t say much for the organization and the leadership. And on top of that, they try to hide it by not reporting this debt on their financial report. The Democrats have plenty of members who could have come forward and pay these debts off. Especially Curt John and Connie Robinson. They have done nothing but used there council seat to increase there wealth. Connie’s luxury contracts and Curts investment in property right accross from Casino Aztar and the new arena. Its time to give these thieves and many others in the Democrat organization a bus ticket out of town. This is why we need to elect Rick Davis Mayor!!!

    • Burkart Walton is a small one-man printing that prints a lot of the political signs and banners for people in both parties. Can’t think of his name but he is an honest business man.

  4. So not only do they not pay bills, fib on reports, but now they are tax dodgers too? It just keeps getting better.

  5. Will Winnecke be sending those much publicized endorsements back? How is it that when these guys parade around with a Winnecke banner, the mainstream media is all over it, but when their TRUE character comes out, they report nothing.
I encourage ALL of the readers of CCO to contact the other media outlets and demand they give the same attention to these issues as they did when a few of the Dems switched sides.
I have brought up some questionable practices that involved Weinzapfel and Winnecke working together. There were things going on that they do not want us to know about. I said it then, and it is proving true. We have only seen the tip of the iceberg.
If Winnecke takes office on January 1, we will NEVER know the complete truth about the actions of some of our local leaders.
To the other Dems who have been scared to challenge the power of Owens, Weinzapfel, Robinson, John, and even Winnecke. I say NOW is your chance to be what you wanted to be when you first sought public office, a PUBLIC servant, not an Owens tool. He has placed all of you in a position to have your honor and integrity questioned. It is up to you, as an individual who cares about US, to stand with Rick Davis and demand open and honest party officials and local government.
It’s time to get RIGHT before you get LEFT.

    • I think it’s because Winnecke’s campaign team is so damn good at manipulating the media. They deserve an award for this stuff.

      • Remember Winnecke worked in TV and PR. He has connections and knows how that media works.

    • BREAKING NEWS…….Is it true???
Is it true that State Chairman Dan Parker pulled all of the funding and ads for the Davis campaign??????

      • Nope…nay true, be nay strin`s attached t` t` doubloons, besides ‘t be already given…nice try tho. 😉

      • If Dan Parker does not want his party to be the laughing stock of Indiana and the whole Country he will deal with these current miscreants in charge of the Vanderburgh County Democratic Party.

Filing false financial statements, endorsing republican candidates, not paying the party’s just debts.

Too much fodder there for current and future republicans to use in this and future campaigns. And it gets better by the day!

  6. I can’t tell all of Vanderburgh County how happy I am that the Democratic Party is destroying itself before our very eyes.

Keep up the good work, ladies and gentlemen!

  7. Conor O’Daniel, Vanderburgh County Democratic Party (VCDP) Treasurer, is totally responsible for filing a true, correct and accurate financial report for the Democrat Party not the Party Chairman Owen.

As pointed out by the CCO, the report was not true, correct and accurate. He failed to do what he is obligated to do per the Indiana State Election Election Commission. Conor O’Daniel is a criminal defense lawyer.

GUESS WHAT!!!! Conor O’Daniel is the Democratic Candidate for Evansville City Council-At Large. Is this the type of person you want representing us on the City Council?????

  8. Looks like City Council at large candidate and Demo. Party treasurer Conor O’Daniel needs to come clean and explain why he broke the law, or at least lied. His report was completely bogus when it listed no debt for the party. Then they get sued for not paying the bill for $3,500 worth of chicken dinners at a fundraiser. Is this the kind of stewardship we could expect if he where to be elected to oversee tax payer dollars. Come on Conor, man up, sling that jacket over your shoulder and tell the voters and your meth dealer clients how you made a $12,000 accounting error. Anyone who votes for this guy is living in a Demo dream world. Shame on the CCO for not jumping on O’Daniel with both feet since they are so interested in good government and transparency. After all, he’s a candidate for one of the highest offices in city government and one that demands the highest degree of trust.

  9. Think this finally gets it.

The “AMENDED” VC Democratic Party Finance Report filed 11/2/11 now disclosing $11,475 of Democratic Party debt, showed on p37 their $7,615 debt to the Centre. The “AMENDED” Report also disclosed on p10 a $500 in kind donation by the Mainstream Democrats PAC on 10/1/11 received by Mr. Jarvis.

    https://city-countyobserver.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/DemAmmendment.PDF

The Mainstream Democrats PAC Finance Report, also filed 11/2/11, does NOT disclose ANY donations to the VC Democratic Party. But, on p7 the Mainstream Democrats PAC shows a $500 “expense” to the Centre
on 9/20/11 with any explanation given.

    https://city-countyobserver.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Mainstream-Democrats-Campaign-Finance.pdf

BUT, go back to p. 30 of the “AMENDED” 11/2/11 VC Finance Report and it apparently shows on 10/1/11 the Mainstream Democrats PAC received a direct $500 expense for “PAYMENT OF DEBT”.

    https://city-countyobserver.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/DemAmmendment.PDF

    • Beans, the 11/2/11 Amended Democratic report on page 30 documents the Mainstream Democtatic PAC made $500 PAYMENT OF DEBT on 10/1/11. The first Democratic report claimed no party debt and did not list this same 10/1/11 Mainstream PAC payment as payment of debt. Interesting the Mainstream Democratic PAC report shows the PAC has zero debt. Could it be true the Mainstream Democratic PAC was paying the Centre debt for the Democratic Party? HMMMMMM?

  10. Interesting how they gave Louise Williams an extra $200.00 for “precint expenses” when the rest of the precint committeemen only received $25.00 to their precint.
