Just got back from the East Coast, and I found that one thing seems to prevail there as it does here, Speeding and Tailgating, I can not paint it as a “damn the law and good sense” virus that pervades the entire US, as I have yet to travel West–but can assure you that so far it appears that if the Speed Limit was 100mph,–some fool would go around you doing 120mph, the Women are as bad as the Men, and I haven’t an explanation for this phenomenon
for this senseless Hurry, Hurry–to Where? The Graveyard?
Locally, the Lloyd is almost a lawless racetrack, and one would think enforcement fines would pay for the extra police that need to be hired to patrol it.
Maximizing revenue. If they patrolled heavier and stopped the speeding revenues would go down.
Increased enforcement would bring, a safer commute and that issue can not be discarded, or discounted by the decrease in revenue you believe would happen,–a reasoning, I will add, I find hard to give any creditability.
