BREAKING NEWS: IS IT TRUE?

IS IT TRUE that in todays printed Courier and Press it was reported as of last week that the City of Evansville medical expenses has surpassed $6.7 worth of unpaid medical claims for this calendar year?  …at last nights City Council meeting the Council approved $1 million to be taken from varies accounts to pay this debt down to $5.7 million dollars?  …we predict that the final figure for unpaid city employees medical bills will be much higher by December 31, 2016?

IS IT TRUE we would like to publicly thank former City Councilman and Finance Chairman John Friend  CPA for sounding the alarm concerning the unpaid city employee medical bills for the last two years?  …it is common knowledge that a couple members of the area main stream media did everything to discredit Mr. Friend during his last year in office by putting seeds of doubt concerning his claim that the City of Evansville is in a major financial tail spin?  …we can’t wait to see how Mayor Winnecke and his puppet City Council members are going to address this issue?

IS IT TRUE we also can’t wait to see how  City Council persons Dan Mcgann-Finance Chairmen, Missy Mosby-City Council President,  Jonathan Weaver- City Council Vice President are going to spin the news about the real facts concerning a $5.7 in unpaid City of Evansville medical bills as of two weeks ago

IS IT TRUE we are extremely disappointed that City Controller Russ Lloyd Jr.-CPA over the last several years have continually to denied that the City of Evansville had any major unpaid city employee medical bills issues?  …if Mr. lloyd Jr worked in the private sector and his CEO found out that he underestimated knowingly or unknowingly) the employees medical bills owed he would had been immediately terminated?

IS IT TRUE that Jack Pate is stepping down as the Publisher of the Evansville Courier and Press? ….. we wish him well in his new endeavors.

  1. Why did the people who lost the election go into hiding? Appears to me they were only concerned about the finances when they were drawing a salary. Everything will improve when they get the public housing abandoned by the defunct Evansville Housing Authority fixed up and filled with refugees. Evansville will soon be booming with a new look (rural Dubai) and an active downtown paid for by the taxpayers and students getting education in the medical field. We pay for it but someone else owns it.

  2. In the Courier article, it also said that City Council was holding its vote on approval of a Fire Dept. contract renewal until after the hearing on the injunction to block higher health insurance contributions (as the Fire union had negotiated rates in its contract, prior to the announced increases).

It literally sickens me that people like Missy and Weaver proclaim to be pro-police and fire, and then make a move like this. McGinn even admitted that holding the contract in committee was “leverage” to resolving the injunction.

What a dick move by Council, no wonder we’re so messed up financially.

    • They’re only “pro-police and fire” around election time. Just like the mayor. They only care about people who donate to their reelection funds. The only way to get anything done in this town is to throw money at these career politicians. The RINO mayor and his rubber-stamp city council need to go.
