Aces Finish Year With 3.715 Team GPA

In an impressive showing in the classroom, the University of Evansville women’s golf team was recognized by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association in an announcement by the organization on Wednesday.

As a team, the Purple Aces completed the school year with a team GPA of 3.715.  That was tied for the 13th-best in the nation and tops in the Missouri Valley Conference.

“This is such a great achievement for our team,” UE head golf coach Jim Hamilton said.  “It shows just how hard our girls have been working.  They put so much effort into their performance in the classroom and on the course and it is great to see their work pay off.”

“I am very proud of each member of this team for contributing to this honor.”

Team members Madison Chaney, Giulia Mallmann, Minka Gill, Sophia Rohleder and Lexie Sollman all finished with GPA’s above 3.3 for the school year while two completed the year above 3.89.

The award caps off an exciting summer that saw Gill, Sollman, and Mallmann earn WGCA All-America Scholar recognition.  The top 25 Division I program GPA’s are listed below.
