VHS Pet of the Week: “Baby”

5

Greetings from Baby, a 5-year-old, spayed DSH. This lovely lady has lived in a home with both dogs and cats and enjoys spending time with them. In her spare time she can be found chasing bugs and playing with paper sacks. She would love to find a home with a large window that she can sit and stare out of. Baby certainly lives up to her name, and she is a gorgeous girl too. She has one green eye and one blue eye. They’ll captivate your heart. For more information on how to make Baby a member of your family, visit www.vhslifesaver.org or call (812) 426-2563.

  1. Let the record show that beerguy and daughter (Miss Beerguy) went to VHS last week to check out the Pet of the Week from 2 weeks ago, Lelo the cat. Miss B did NOT adopt Lelo, on the grounds that she was a gorgeous young kitten which someone else will surely adopt. Miss B did, however, adopt a 10 year old (no misprint) Persian kitty, the most amazing and personable cat I have ever seen. Miss B very happy, and all of this joy for just a $ 30 adoption fee.

Come on fellow posters, I challenge you to go down there and recognize the great work the VHS does ! Rescue an animal and improve your sense of well being all for $ 30 !!

  2. Also, CCO, nice going by adding this feature on to your Web Site. If it wasn’t for this weekly article you have put up, that 10 year old cat might never have been adopted !

  3. Beerguy and Miss Beerguy,
Good for you and good for your new friend! VHS does amazing work in an area of great need, all with no help from any government. It is all funded on donations which as we all know are the first things to dry up during a recession. So come on everyone. Go out an find your new best friend at VHS or, if that is not possible now, at least drop off a check or cash donation so that they can apply the money to their greatest need.

  4. We’ve adopted several pets over the years from the VCHS. The new location is so much nicer than what they had before. The VCHS more than just dogs and cats. Gerbils, mice, rats(don’t laugh the workers say they are super smart), rabbits and more. The VCHS workers are amazing and it really does Evansville proud. We donate and encourage others to do so.
