University of Southern Indiana Women’s Basketball senior guard Tanner Marcum (New Albany, Indiana) was named to the Division II Conference Commissioners’ Association All-Midwest Region second team in a vote by the region’s sports information directors.

A first-team All-GLVC honoree, Marcum averaged a career-high 14.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 3.0 steals per game during her final season in a USI uniform. She was twice named GLVC Player of the Week and became the 16th player in program history reach the 1,000-point plateau.

Marcum finished her career at USI ranked seventh all-time in program history in career steals (170), eighth in three-point field goals made (118), 10th in assists (226) and 12th in scoring (1,134).

The All-Region honor is the first for Marcum and the first for a USI Women’s Basketball player since Anna Hackert earned first-team honors in 2014-15.

Marcum’s efforts this year helped the Screaming Eagles to a 24-5 overall record and a 16-2 mark in GLVC play. USI missed out on an NCAA Division II Tournament berth despite winning the GLVC East Division by three games and having a 3-1 record against teams that advanced to the Midwest Regional.
