USI enters Midwest Region Rankings at #10

 The University of Southern Indiana baseball team entered the 2018 NCAA Division II Midwest Region Ranking for the first time this spring, moving into the poll at number 10. The top eight teams will be selected for the NCAA II Midwest Regional following the conference post-season tournaments, with regional running May 17-21.

The Screaming Eagles concluded the 2018 regular season with a 29-19 overall record and a third-place finish in the GLVC East Division with a 15-9 mark. USI has won eight of its last 10 games and 20 of the last 26 games, including series wins over top-five University of Tampa, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Lewis University, McKendree University, and the University of Indianapolis; and a win over Division I University of Evansville.

USI starts GLVC post-season play Thursday at the number three seed from the GLVC East Division and will play Quincy University, the second seed from the GLVC West.
