University of Southern Indiana Athletics announced that it will not have a 2021 USI Athletic Hall of Fame class and induction ceremony on campus this spring due to COVID-19. The USI Athletic Hall of Fame committee said it would increase the size of classes in 2022 and 2023 to make up for the cancellation in 2021.
“The USI Athletic Hall of Fame Committee was ready to select a class for 2021 from the many outstanding candidates on the ballot this year,” said Jon Mark Hall, USI Director of Athletics. “The consensus among the committee was any class which was selected deserves an induction ceremony and due to COVID-19 that was not going to happen this year.“Our former student-athletes, coaches, and teams are a source of great pride for the University and everyone selected for the Hall of Fame should have their own evening to be celebrated,” said Hall.

The USI Athletic Hall of Fame has inducted 94 former student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and teams since 2007.
