Troopers Arrest Evansville Man for Resisting during Warrant Service

Vanderburgh County – This morning at approximately 8:00, Indiana State Police arrived at 709 S. Werner Avenue, Evansville, to execute an arrest warrant for Christopher Skelton, 41.  A warrant for domestic battery had been issued for his arrest out of Gibson County.  When troopers arrived they received information that Skelton was showering down in the basement, but troopers were unable to immediately find him. Troopers eventually found Skelton hiding in a crawl space above the basement.  Skelton was arrested without further incident and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail.

Arrested and Charges:

  • Christopher Skelton, 41, 709 S. Werner Avenue, Evansville, IN
  1. Resisting Law Enforcement, Class A Misdemeanor
  2. Domestic Battery (Warrant out of Gibson County)

    Arresting Officers: Trooper John Davis, Sergeant Kevin Brown, Trooper Matt Jacobs,
    Master Trooper Bob Helfrich and Trooper Seth Rainey
