    • Ha! That’s good. I stop to buy a lot of quarter lemonade in the summertime, and I always pay $1 instead. Lots of little kids smiles. Worth every penny.

  1. “When does the Cruz-Carly White House Fantasy Camp begin? Will they be announcing other Cabinet members or signing any imaginary laws?”

    • It’s 3a.m. in Cruz world, the bartender just rang the bell and Carly looks good to him.

      John Boehner on Cruz:
“Lucifer in the flesh,” Boehner told an audience at Stanford on Wednesday night, according to the Stanford Daily. “I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.” ~~~ Politico

      • The only thing on the Republican menu is crap sandwiches. The Kasich is a tiny little slider. The Donald has orange cheese on top, and the Trusted offers a topping of Carly Jerky.

        • Bankrupt bologna with a little fraud sauce on birther bread sounds pretty good but would be hard to swallow.

          Never mind, not hungry….

          • Bandana…..the Ted Cruz “Lucifer” quote…..is UNBELIEVABLE.
            WOW.
            Absolutely frightening.

      • That’s how stupid the Republican electorate is. They are about to nominate an entertainer, so they assume they will pay to go see a political rally. The morons on the 14 news and CP Facebook pages were all asking how much it was. Again, you pukes are about to nominate a reality TV show host for president. Your party is going down in flames.

        • I mean, c’mon.
          For real.
Is ANYTHING in English Bob’s comment today……false? Exaggerated? Wrong?
EB is a pain in the ass, but this comment is a dead-center strike of the hammer.
          Popcorn’s on me today EB.

        • Given the choices the Democrats are offering, a liar and and a lunatic, it’s easy to understand why the masses are turning to an entetainer. But, then again, the entertainers Ronnie and Arnie turned out pretty successful.

Why can’t either political party come up with some realistic offerings for leadership of this country? Trump, Cruz, Clinton, and Sandrrs are all pitiful options.

  2. Today’s Courier & Press includes two separate legal notices telling taxpayers of hearings that City Council will hold at its May 9 meeting. Both are notices of additional appropriations from the general fund. One for an additional $128,452 and the other for $1.7 million. These are “additional appropriations in excess of the budget for the current year.” The legal notices state that “Taxpayers appearing at the meeting shall have a right to be heard.” Similar appropriations totaling millions from various city funds have already been approved this year with unanimous votes and very little explanation. Doesn’t this spending in excess of the approved budget alarm anyone? Don’t any taxpayers wonder why this administration is clearly spending outside the approved budget to the tune of millions of dollars?

  3. R.I.P. Alberta Matlock.

Always as nice as could be and it was generally reflected in her staff. Made me want to pay my tickets in person. Wish there were more down there like her.

  4. I did a little fact-checking on a statement made by Alex Schmitt in last night’s debate. I looked into what he said about thinking the County should give itself “those little orange flags” on overgrown properties it owns. He went on to say that he walks his dog three miles up and down Harmony Way and looks at those properties and wants to “trim the grass” himself. That didn’t sound like the Harmony Way I know, so I did a property search on the entire street. I found only one county-owned property and it is the Trades School, not a dilapidated house up for tax sale. Look out, Alex, your pants are on fire!

    • The average voter doesn’t care. It’s all about your “tweeting” skills these days.

  5. What a hell of a crowd descended on the Auditorium on Locust Street today. There were blocks long lines in every direction trying to get in the place. It was unbelievable the number of people who showed up.

I do not remember seeing any local TV station trucks set up outside the building, so I am not sure how the local media will present what took place today, but I can tell you for sure that Trump WILL win the Indiana primary race by a huge margin. No doubt about it folks.

  6. Washington’s Farewell Address

“……The remainder of the Address, delivered at CONGRESS HALL in Philadelphia, examined what Washington saw as the two major threats to the nation, one domestic and the other foreign, which in the mid-1790s increasingly seemed likely to combine. First, Washington warned of “the baneful effects of the SPIRIT OF PARTY.” To Washington POLITICAL PARTIES were a deep threat to the health of the nation for they allowed “a small but artful and enterprising minority” to “put in the place of the delegated will of the Nation, the will of a party.”

  7. Woke-up this a.m. to see that Mr. Haster, the former Speaker of the House has been sentenced to 15 months in jail for molesting his students while their high school coach. According to the news report, this happened many years ago. Now, if a former Speaker of the US House of Representives is going to jail for sexual acts against minors many years ago, then why is it has Jack Scheiber is let of the hook???

    • He’s being sent away for some kind of financial non reporting related to the hush money, not the molestation itself. The statute of limitations had expired on the molestation just like in the Schreiber case. Hastert is your typical garden variety family values republican hypocrite.
