Jonestown survivor to present at USI

The University of Southern Indiana will host a presentation by Laura Johnston Kohl, a Jonestown Survivor and author of Jonestown Survivor: An Insider’s Look, at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 10 in Carter Hall located in University Center West. The presentation, entitled “Jonestown Survivor – Evolution of Peoples Temple in the 1960s and 1970s,” is free and open to the public. Read More

“Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event to promote sexual assault awareness April 11

The University of Southern Indiana Sexual Assault and Gender Violence Prevention Group and Albion Fellows Bacon Center will host the annual “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes: The International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault and Gender Violence” event at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 11 in Carter Hall. Registration will start at 5 p.m. Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding, Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, Evansville Police Department Chief Billy Bolin, and other local male figures are scheduled to participate. Read More

47th Annual USI Juried Student Art Show

The 47th Annual University of Southern Indiana Juried Student Art Show will be on display April 2 – 30 in the Kenneth P. McCutchan Art Center/Palmina F. and Stephen S. Pace Galleries, located in the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center on the USI campus. Juror Arthur Fields has selected 172 artworks from over 400 entered to be exhibited. Read More
