 On February 6th, around 8:50 p.m., Evansville Police Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Madison Ave. in reference to multiple shots fired and a victim who had been shot outside of a residence. When officers arrived on scene, they located the adult victim on the front porch of a residence. The victim had multiple gunshot wounds and officers began life-saving measures while they waited for an ambulance. The victim was transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead a few hours later at the hospital.Â
This investigation is still active and no arrests have been made at this time. The victim’s name and cause of death will be released at a later time by the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office.Â
