1. Good old Al Sharpton , the pimp of racial division:

   “Al Sharpton’s National Action Network helped lead a protest Friday outside the New York headquarters of the National Football League. The demonstration comes in response to the league’s new rules aimed at ending player protests during the playing of the national anthem.

   Over a dozen demonstrators appeared outside the midtown Manhattan HQ of the football league, led by members of the National Action Network (NAN), a civil rights organization, The Hill reported….

   “I’m not here to talk to the NFL. They have already drawn a line in the sand, and they have doubled-down on us. The question is, what are we prepared to do?” Mallory yelled angrily. “What are we prepared to do? The NFL is complicit in the oppression of black and brown people in this moment. They are complicit.”

   Mallory went on to throw the “slavery card” by insisting that players are treated like slaves in the NFL.

   “They own these young men in their minds,” Mallory accused of the NFL. “The slave owners have said that if the slaves get out of line, we will show them. … The question is: What will the rest of us do about them putting the slaves in line?

   “This is not about the flag, this is not about an anthem … this is about the loss of life, the brutality of black and brown young women.”

   • Get rid of ’em. The NFL and the NBA are racist anyway. Look how they treat Caucasian players. Too many non-Caucasians playing. Obvious racial bias. Player numbers should reflect cultural make-up of the nation, right?

4. Santa Fe High School Families Call for More Armed Security in Talks With Governor

   Several students and parents said schools need more armed security guards and armed teachers to prevent attacks. Texas law allows school districts to arm teachers who pass training courses and they must keep their guns concealed. Others debated whether schools should have metal detectors.

   “Arming teachers, and not knowing who is armed, that is what we need,” said Grace Johnson, a Santa Fe senior who hid in a band room attic during the attack. “I cannot tell you how much safer I feel in public with my father having a gun on him.”

   I believe they would tell us, (if they could), to kiss their ass….

   • You want to see voter turnout improved at both the Primary and General elections? Have the major political parties offer better candidates on both a local and national basis.
     Look what we’ve been offered recentlly in National elections: Clinton, Bernie, Bush, Trump, Palin.
     Look what we’ve been offered locally: Lloyd, Jr., Weinzapfel, Wennicke, Duckworth
     All losers.

     • But no matter how hard I try, I can’t get al sharpie or JoeBiden to run.

       So I guess we are just going to have to settle for second best.

       And in Mop Head’s case, rock bottom….
