WASHINGTON — U.S. pork producers have lost $2.2 billion since March 1st, due to events leading up to and following China’s 25 percent punitive pork tariff in retaliation for the Trump White House imposed U.S. tariffs on aluminum and steel.
The National Pork Producers points out the Trump White House is not only abandoning the heartland of America that brought it victory in the last Presidential election, it is handing the U.S. hard won pork sales with China to competing South American pork producers who will never let go of their sales to Asian markets once they are in hand. The NPP is calling on the United States to end its China trade dispute, and pave the way for to a return to increased U.S. pork exports to the world’s largest pork-consuming nation.
So the Chinese dump steel and aluminum in this country and put steel and aluminum workers out of a job. Trump puts a tariff on steel and aluminum and pig farmers lose money because the Chinese put a tariff on pork. Now aluminum and steel workers are happy but not the pig farmers. I guess a bull fight is fun until your bull gets gored. Abandoning the heartland, isn’t ALCOA over in Warrick County part of the heartland?

The single most important thing Trump is accomplishing is the democrats exposing themselves as some pretty vile and hateful people. Trump has put an extra gallon of crazy in every liberal tank in this country. The exposing of the liberal biased media is starting to be noticed by moderate democrats which could spell disaster for the democrat party. Don’t mess with Trump because he will call you out. He owes nothing to anyone other than the American people. So great to see our country being lead by a leader who demands respect instead of trying to buy it. I can visualize Nicki Halley as the next and first woman president of the USA, a woman amongst women. So glad to see Trump putting powerful women in important positions.

Opened polebarn door about a hour ago to feed my wild raccoons and first thing in was a kit, (baby coon), coming in backwards showing courage against all the rest.
It went straight to back of polebarn.
There isn’t a detective in America that could possibly find it so I put out water, cookies and marshmallows to help it survive the night.
But I doubt if I will….
