    • OK, it is always wrong to deface museum property, but you are just using this as some sort of Texas event to talk about that damn border wall again

And if the protestors were masked, how does anyone know who it was? It appears this is one of those “well, it must have been them Mexicans” kind of reference. Are you that bored and desperate for stuff?

Maybe pay attention and note that the police were there and took the information for all the protestors AND checked for immigration status, and then let ALL of them go. Yup, not a single illegal immigrant, they were ALL Americans, cupcake

FYI that the museum director pointed out the museum is not affiliated with the U.S. Border Patrol, and that they house the U.S. Border Patrol history but are not funded by them or the federal government

Maybe you should be less right-wing fake mad at an act of civil disobedience and outraged at the reason for it: The the deaths of Guatemalan girl Jakelin Caal Maquin and 8-year-old Felipe Gomez Alonzo, who both died while in U.S. custody last year. A 45-year-old immigrant from Mexico died in Border Patrol custody Monday, becoming the third such death since December

These deaths are because of Trumpian policy that goes against decency and human rights

  1. Texas Town Has Over 1,000 Registered Planes and No Airport. Experts Are Ringing the Alarm Bells

At this very moment, there thousands of aircraft in the skies above the United States — but a shocking investigative report has revealed that over 1,000 aircraft may be unaccountable and linked to a registration scheme that is raising security concerns.

Journalists from WFAA-TV in Texas are blowing the whistle after they noticed a strange trend. There are at least 1,000 aircraft registered in the small town of Onalaska, Texas … yet bizarrely, that sleepy town doesn’t even have an airport.

“That’s equivalent to one plane for every three Onalaska residents, which is more per capita than anywhere else in the country,” the news station discovered. “Just as surprising, the aircraft are registered to only two Onalaska P.O. boxes. That’s because the aircraft owners do not live there. Not even close.”…

“Two of the planes registered to the trust company were named during a federal investigation of a massive drug-smuggling operation, according to federal court records,” WFAA-TV found.

One of those aircraft “had been registered in a trust in 2012 on behalf of a Mexican company,” the investigative report continued.

“The company’s legal representative, Fausto Velez Urbina, was convicted in 2005 on federal cocaine trafficking charges and deported back to Mexico in 2010. Urbina purchased the plane from an aircraft broker named Mauricio DeLeon for $1.69 million.” That individual, in turn, has been connected to known cartel members.

Congressman Lynch is fed up. “Just tell us who owns these aircraft,” he said to WFAA-TV. “They could easily be turned into weapons. Anybody around 9/11 understands that painfully.”

    • Hey Joey

I guess you failed to notice that the only person who is trying to fix this is DEMOCRAT Representative Stephen Lynch

And the incidents you cite are just another pathetic attempt to show a need for the stupid wall, but that is not

In 2006, A U.S. bank became a trustee on an aircraft for a Lebanese politician who turned out to be “backed by a well-known U.S. Government-designated terrorist organization.” “It wasn’t until the bank found out that they were affiliated with Hezbollah that the relationship ended”

In 2010, an airplane registered to a trust approached the Tripoli International Airport with no landing permit just hours before the U.N. Security Council met to approve a “no-fly zone” over Libya. The owner of a foreign oil corporation had registered the plane through a trust but sold a “large percentage” of his company to a Chinese company

In 2012, an FAA inspector was unable to find out who was flying a Boeing 737 registered on behalf of a foreign owner. When the FAA contacted the foreign owner, officials were told the airplane had been leased to a United Arab Emirates-based rental company. The foreign owner couldn’t “provide the inspector” with information about who was flying the plane

The “examples” you used are not even in the original DOT report to the FAA, but mine are

      • Ron, this may surprise you, but not all Democrats are anti-American national security.

  2. Anyone have an update on the City’s attempts to foreclose on their $1,000,000 water/sewer leens against the McCurdy building.

      • If I remember correctly a court date had been set for sometime early in 2020. So I would say everything is staying the same until the case goes to court.

  3. Rare news article describing our military advances against ISIS over the past 2 years:
    …………………

AL-HOL, SYRIA — At the end, the Islamic State is little more than a hamlet of tents, pitched in panic between U.S. bombing raids.

Inside, there has been chaos, witnesses say. Families have fled. Militants are hoarding food. Some fighters have turned their guns on each other.

As U.S.-backed forces surround the last square mile of Islamic State territory, preparing for a final assault on the eastern Syrian village of Baghouz….

    • Sparks Flew As Graham And Others Confronted Trump’s Syria Plan as “That’s The Dumbest F—Ing Idea”

At the Munich Security Conference last week congressional representatives took the opportunity to meet privately with acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan, and it sounds like that meeting went over about as well as Pence’s speech. Maybe worse.

The Washington Post has details on a contentious exchange between Sen. Lindsey Graham and Shanahan over Trump’s bizarre decision to immediately withdrawal from Syria, something that is widely seen as a benefit to Vladimir Putin. Here’s the exchange:

“Are you telling our allies that we are going to go to zero by April 30?” Graham asked Shanahan

“Yes, that’s been our direction from the president” Shanahan replied

“That’s the dumbest f—ing idea I’ve ever heard” Graham responded

Graham then launched into a list of consequences he feared would result from a precipitous U.S. withdrawal from Syria without a follow-up plan:

The Islamic State would return, Turkey would attack Kurdish forces, Iran would gain the advantage. Graham asked Shanahan if he disagreed with that analysis

“That could very well happen” Shanahan said

“Well, if the policy is going to be that we are leaving by April 30, I am now your adversary, not your friend” Graham told the acting Pentagon chief, according to Graham. (Several other lawmakers confirmed this exchange)

Inside the meeting, after Graham confronted Shanahan, several other lawmakers from both parties chimed in, warning Shanahan of what they believed were the risks of Trump’s Syria withdrawal plan. They implored Shanahan to persuade the president to change course. Several lawmakers told me Shanahan stood silent, like a “deer in the headlights” They said he failed to articulate a substantive response other than to reiterate these were Trump’s instructions

Trump’s acting defense secretary was not only unable to defend the decision to withdraw from Syria, but he stood around like a “deer in headlights,” parroting Trump talking points, even conceding that this could be a disastrous decision. The decision to abruptly withdraw U.S. troops from Syria was NOT based on U.S. intelligence or the advice of military leaders

  4. blahhhhhh……blahhhhhh……..blahhhh…….little ronnie rogaine is without a doubt all wind and no Rain……………..just sayin……..

    • R Rogaine has a brain crippling case of Trump derangement syndrome. His case is far worse than even Pocahontas, Crying Chuck Schummer and internet inventor Al Gore.

      • You two Koolaid Klowns are hilarious telling ANYONE they have a “derangement syndrome”

You and your “blahhhhhh……blahhhhhh……..blahhhh…….” is because you don’t have the capacity for critical thought to understand the reality of how Trump and sycophants like you are the danger to America

That’s just fine, because the current idiot in the White House continues to dig a hole, and your partisan BS is why America will be changing for the better when him and you are down for the count
