WHATS ON YOUR MIND TODAY?

We hope that todays “Readers Forum” will provoke “…honest and open dialogue concerning issues that we, as responsible citizens of this community, need to address in a rational and responsible way?”
Todays “Readers Poll” question is: Do you feel that the West Franklin Street parking vote should had been would be tabled by City Council?

  1. I suppose you have a point about taxpayers paying for parties held by appointed board members, but it pales when compared to monies squandered on North Main bike path, downtown hotel, downtown “medical school”, downtown “stadium”, downtown “Land Bank”, (and the beat goes on)

  2. Let’s face it. If you are one of the anointed boards, you are a political flunkie of the politician that put you there. You sure as Hell don’t need to be qualified, just able to grease the palm of your annointer. Look at the CVB wanting $250,000.00 for the new avian display. What does that tell you?????

  3. Prior to last evenings City Council meeting, a TV reporter quoted Weaver as saying the issue of Franklin Srteet parking would be tabled. ?? Silly me, I thought these issues are to brought up DURING the meeting, not decided beforehand

  4. City Council won’t be happy until they make Franklin Street a minion of King Whiney. Let’s see, Franklin Street thriving, so they want to turn it into a vast wasteland like downtown where all stops at 5 p.m.

  6. The reason it was tabled was there is a better version, negotiated and studied by all West Franklin stakeholders coming forth from Area Plan this week. That version will be voted on in January …Doc
