Trump is their, and apparently your, enemy #1 because he is for border security, strong military, enforcement of our laws, and most frighteningly for nominating Constitutionalists to the Supreme Court.     Violent attacks on Trump supporters has now reached more than 500. How many have you seen reported on in the “mainstream” media? Two? Maybe three? And usually in the context of calling the Trump supporters white supremacists or Nazis, who by their mere presence inflamed their attackers and deserved what they got.

    The truth is that the attacks have been unprovoked, and many clearly have been planned in advance, with the attackers armed with clubs and other weapons, and in the case of Antifa, wearing masks to hide their identity. Antifa, by the way, illustrates perfectly how the left accuses us of being what they are. Antifa is short for anti-fascist. Yet these violent thugs are modern day clones of Hitler’s Nazi Brown Shirts, using violence to silence any opposition. The only difference is that the Antifa cowards cover their faces, like the criminals they are.

    The media are not the only ones, though, inciting violence against Trump supporters. Black millionaire congressman, Maxine Waters, has been publicly ranting and raving against Trump and his supporters on an almost daily basis since his election. Most recently, she has called on her radical leftist constituency to “harass” Trump administration officials and staffers, and presumably anyone they perceive as a Trump supporter. And of course, harass can easily be taken to mean spitting on, shoving, hitting, kicking, bashing with clubs and baseball bats, stabbing with knives, shooting with guns…See how this works? This is obviously “dog whistle” talk of the sort they constantly accuse us of using.

    The aimed for result of this violence is the silencing of opposing viewpoints and the suppression of open support for anything other than strict fascist, collectivist dogma. The left claims to demand tolerance, but it will only accept tolerance of its ideas. Disagreement is punishable by verbal and physical violence.

  7. Doesn’t that Philadelphia made LST take an extended cruise every summer to shop itself to other cities? Haven’t there been barely-veiled threats in the past to weigh anchor and not come back? Let some other river town take the expense and headaches that attend that ship.

  8. Is there a law or ordinance against begging in the City? There are almost always panhandlers at the corner of Garvin and Division (just off Expressway). It’s always littered at that corner.

  9. On topic, of course I am worried about Vectren picking my pocket. Highest utility in Indiana already and you betcha, they will gouge the users in SW Indiana for all they can get! We will have to pay for that 75 million dollar loss.

    • Good article by Jon, would love to see him dig into the 400 plus homeless and write a good article that profiles the homeless. Of the 400 homeless, exactly how many can be homed? This means how many can actually live with other people? The veterans are puzzling, are they real veterans, can the local veteran groups chip in here? Veterans, if they’re real veterans they were OK at one time, they could read and write to at least an 8th grade level, were near perfect health wise, no felonies, no known drug use, most likely high school graduates and could reason and think in the abstract? What happen? There’s a lot of benefits out there for veterans. Homeless children, are they run aways or throw aways? is anyone working to get them rehomed with their families? One group wants $500,000 from the commissioners, how much will be used up in the process with no results? How many will always be street people and we need to work with organizations that know this and try to make them comfortable. How many are stuck in Evansville and just need a bus ticket to get home? I think a lot of money is being thrown at this problem with no results. Behavior modification is also an option, if you’re going to be homeless these are the rules.

    “People were impressed by Omarosa because they saw her on a TV show,” Trump told reporters from his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey. “Well, I’ve got news for you: being on a reality show does not qualify you to work in the government.”

    Explaining why he considered her a “lowlife,” Trump said, “She’s rude, abrasive, and offensive. Having someone like that in the White House is an embarrassment to our country.”

    But worst of all, Trump said, was Omarosa’s lying, which he called “constant.”

    “She can’t go a day without lying, and what’s more, she’s narcissistic and paranoid,” he said. “A psycho like that shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the Situation Room.” – Borowitz

    Evidently, Omarosa couldn’t have said it better herself.
