Trails & Tales is a seasonal nature celebration that connects children ages 3-5 to their natural world. For 1 hour, every week, for 6 weeks at Wesselman Woods Nature Center, children will play and learn through indoor and outdoor exploratory activities and physical movements. Activities include stories, games, animal encounters, art projects and hands-on investigations. A caregiver must stay with the child during the class.

Pre-enrollment is required for the 6-week series, and space is limited to 15 children per class. Each series is $20 per child for members, or $30 per child for non-members.

Pre-enrollment is now open for the following series:

2017 Winter Series:
Adapted To Be Awesome
Wednesdays, January 11 – February 15 – 6-7 pm
OR Thursdays, January 12 – February 16 – 10-11 am

While this program is perfect for homeschoolers, it is open to any child. Children ages 4 -14 will explore nature and science through themed lessons incorporating hands-on activities, experiments, and outdoor experiences. The fee is $4 members / $5 nonmembers per class for the first child, $4 members / $5 nonmembers for the second enrolled sibling, and $3 members / $5 nonmembers for each additional enrolled sibling. Classes typically fill fast so plan accordingly. Due to the popularity of the program, we cannot hold spots without payment.

Children ages 10-14 will meet the SECOND Thursday of the month at 1:00-2:30 pm or 6:00-7:30 pm.

Children ages 4-9 will meet the THIRD Thursday of the month at 10:30 am-12:00 pm; 1:00-2:30 pm; 3:30-5:00 pm; or 6:00-7:30 pm.
