The 6^th Annual Hats Off to Holly’s House benefit dinner and auction will be held at the Conference Center at Tropicana Evansville, 421 NW Riverside Drive, Evansville, Indiana on Friday, April 7, 2017.  This year’s theme “By the Seashore – What are you Wading For?” will be a casual evening of fun with guests encouraged to wear beach hats, sandals, and resort casual attire.   Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the evening will include a silent and live auction, a served dinner, and brief remarks. Jimmy Buffet and Beach Boy style music will be provided; a special prize will be given to the winner of the annual hat contest!  Proceeds from the event will be used for Holly’s House programming.

To better meet customer demands for both commercial and consumer loans, First Security Bank has expanded its Credit Administration team. The bank hired Matt Yeary as Vice President – Credit Officer; promoted Wanda Mayer to Vice President – Director of Loan and Credit Operations; and promoted Kim Lewis to the recently created position of Consumer Loan Underwriter.

Yeary comes to First Security Bank with more than 18 years of experience in credit underwriting and commercial banking including positions as Loan Review Officer, Commercial Banking Credit Manager, and Commercial Portfolio Manager. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Economics. Yeary most recently worked as a Commercial Portfolio Manager with Old National Bank.

Mayer has been promoted to supervise the loan operations, loan processing, and consumer loan underwriting departments. Since joining the bank in October 2016, she has led the implementation of numerous projects to manage the daily performance and productivity of the loan processing team. Mayer previously served as a Senior Vice President of Operations at Field and Main Bank. She was responsible for the leadership and management of operating units, including deposits, loans, facilities, and information technology.

Lewis assumes the new role of Consumer Loan Underwriter and will examine, evaluate, and authorize credit decisions of borrowers’ applications for all consumer loan products. She joined First Security Bank in March of 2014 and most recently worked as a Commercial Loan Administrator.

The New York Times Interactive Media Designer, Renda Morton, will give a lecture at 6 p.m. Monday, March 13 in Kleymeyer Hall located in the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center at the University of Southern Indiana. Morton will discuss what a user-centered design process is and how designers use it at The New York Times. USI Art and Design students designed the publicity poster for the event, which is sponsored by USI’s College of Liberal Arts Art and Design Department. The event is free and open to the public.

Morton holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interactive Media from Minneapolis College of Art and Design.  She currently is the executive director of product design at The New York Times, design lead on the 2014 redesign of NYTimes.com, co-lead of the Times’s Beta Team, which creates new digital products and services. She previously worked on physical interactive media at the design studio, Lust in the Netherlands, and founded and ran a small, multi-disciplinary design studio, Rumors.
