IS IT TRUE JUNE 29, 2017
IS IT TRUE that it’s being alleged that Deaconess Hospital-Evansville recently signed a “Letter of Intent” with Henderson Methodist Community Hospital agreeing that both entities would cooperate in the sharing of physicians and other hospital services?
IS IT TRUE that it’s also being alleged that Deaconess Hospital-Evansville may be considering a move to help secure a bond debt owed by Henderson’s Methodist Community Hospital to the tune of $25 to $30 million dollars?  …if this is true it would seemingly allow Deaconess Hospital-Evansville to secure some financial and operative controls over Henderson’s Methodist Community Hospital?
IS IT TRUEÂ we have been told that the Methodist church of Kentucky may have some legitimate interest in the finances of Henderson Methodist Community Hospital? Â … that the Henderson Methodist Community Hospital Board of Directors should be concerned about how the Methodist Church of Kentucky will look at any contractual agreement with Deaconess Hospital-Evansville?
IS IT TRUE we wonder why members of the main stream has been so quiet about the Henderson’s Methodist Community Hospital and Deaconess Hospital-Evansville issue?
IS IT TRUEÂ we highly recommend that the Henderson’s Methodist Community Hospital Board of Director pay special attention to the concerns of their 1600 plus employees concerning any contractural agreements that may effect their employment status?
IS IT TRUE that Teamsters Local 215 Awards $210,000 In Scholarship Funds for 2017? Â …we will be publishing a detailed list of the winners next week?
IS IT TRUE that earlier this week County Commissioner Ben Shoulders had a car wreck? Â …he is doing fine?
IS IT TRUE we still can’t believe the way City Councilwoman Mercer verbally insulted veteran Councilwoman Connie Robinson during the last Council meeting? …Councilwoman Mercer would do herself justice if she would attack the deficit spending habits of the Mayor and not fellow Councilwoman Robinson?
Governor Holcomb Statement on Waters of the United States
In response to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Army and the Army Corps of Engineers proposal to rescind the Clean Water Rule and re-codify the regulatory text that existed prior to the 2015 defining “Waters of the United States†or WOTUS rule, Indiana Governor Eric J. Holcomb issued the following statement:
“I commend U.S. EPA Administrator Pruitt’s leadership as he seeks to roll back burdensome regulations that measurably impact Hoosier families, businesses and farms. I also thank Administrator Pruitt for actively seeking state input on the reformulation of this rule so that federal officials better understand the common sense approach needed to protect the environment and Hoosier jobs. Indiana knows best how to preserve our state’s waterways, and a one-size-fits-all approach from Washington disrupts the predictable regulatory climate we need for continued innovation and economic growth. Rescinding the 2015 WOTUS rule will allow Indiana’s environmental regulators and industry leaders, along with state and local officials, to effectively manage the quality of water we need to support public health, recreation and business for our state.â€
A copy of the letter regarding the impact of the 2015 WOTUS rule sent to U.S. EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt by Indiana Department of Environmental Management Commissioner Bruno Pigott is attached.

Dr. Bucshon Statement on WOTUS Withdrawal
Eighth District Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. released the following statement applauding the Trump Administration’s withdrawal of the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule:
“Under the Obama Administration, the EPA attempted a massive power grab of the water resources in rural America that would have usurped states’ authority and eroded personal property rights. The results could have been devastating for Hoosier farmers, land owners, and the coal industry,†said Bucshon. “As I’ve said before, states should be the primary regulators of water within their borders, not the federal government. I applaud the Trump Administration’s bold leadership on this important issue for rural Indiana.â€
Â
In January 2016, Bucshon voted in favor of a joint resolution nullifying the Obama-era WOTUS rule. The resolution was approved in the House by a bipartisan vote of 253-166 and was sent to President Obama’s desk.
