Mercher Claims That City County Observer And Evansville Courier Posted An Erroneous Amendments In Error

2

The City County Observer as well as Evansville Courier printed an erroneous non-existant amendments in error.

I am requesting the City County Observer print that this was an error.

I have asked Josh Claybourn, our attorney to contact you also. The amendment printed in CP Saturday  and also by City County Observer that listed me as a sponsor of an amendment to cut the non-profits by 25 percent is eroneous and that is a non-existant amendment.

I am not sponsoring any amendment to cut the non-profits.

I have sent three attachments:

1) Elpers and McGinn Amendment to cut non-profits. If their amendment passes then my amendments would be voted on.

2) Mercer amendment to exclude SWIRRCA if the Elpers and McGinn amendment passes.

3) Mercer amendment to exclude Leadership Evansville if the Elpers and McGinn amendment passes.

See attachments.

‘80S SWAGGER COMES TO 421 WITH QUEENS BLVD

0

That wonderful bluster of ‘80s music, loved by so many devotees of Classic Rock, comes swaggering back to 421 Casino Lounge stage this weekend with the St. Louis band, Queens Blvd.!

Five seasoned musicians comprise Queen’s Blvd., a name whose origin begs speculation – Is it because they also cover songs by legendary group Queen?  Or because they consider themselves the bad boys of rock and roll with a name that personifies what is known as New York City’s most dangerous thoroughfare?

At any rate, “the ‘80s are flying high again and it ain’t nothin’ but a good time,” the band’s website boasts.  “Queens Blvd. is taking it to the streets with a loaded six string and a primal scream.”

You can hear the band’s renditions of ‘80s anthems and remember when groups like AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi ruled the rock and roll airwaves.  Queens Blvd appears live at Tropicana Evansville’s 421 Casino Lounge on Friday, October 12 from 7PM-12AM and on Saturday, October 13 from 7PM-10:30PM.  No admission fee, just a two-drink minimum for a night of fun!

Then on Saturday, smokin’ hot DJ Dadi takes over to fill the 421 dance floor with his electrified mix to keep the party going from 11PM-2AM.

Evansville, IN – Comedian Gabriel Iglesias will be bringing his “One Show Fits All” World Tour to Evansville on Thursday, January 24, 2019. The tour launched in January 2018 with a sold out show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  Iglesias is one of a handful of comedians with the distinct honor to headline and sell out the Staples Center, Madison Square Garden and the Sydney Opera House.

In addition to being one of America’s most successful stand-up comedians, Iglesias is also one of the most watched comedians on YouTube with over 380,000,000 views and has over 14 million fans across social media. He was recently featured in The Hollywood Reporter’s Top 40 Comedy Players of 2018 issue alongside comedy giants Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Lorne Michaels.

Iglesias is currently in production as star and Executive Producer of the upcoming multi-cam comedy series for Netflix Mr. Iglesias. Iglesias plays a good-natured public high school teacher who works at his alma mater. He takes on teaching gifted but misfit kids to not only save them from being “counseled out” by a bully bureaucrat Assistant Principal, but also to help them unlock their full potential. The series will have 10 half-hour episodes and will premiere in 2019.

In addition to the Netflix comedy series, Iglesias will star in two stand-up comedy specials for the network.  The first, titled One Show Fits All, was recently filmed in front of a sold out audience at the Toyota Center in Houston and will air in early 2019.  His second special for the network will tape sometime in the next year; both of these specials are follow-ups to his highly successful 2017 special I’m Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry.

Iglesias’ prior television appearances include Comedy Central’s hit series Stand-Up Revolution and the comedy special Gabriel Iglesias: Aloha Fluffy, an unprecedented two-night comedy special generating over 15 million viewers. The special was a follow-up to his previous DVD specials, Hot & Fluffy and I’m Not Fat…I’m Fluffy, which have sold a combined total of over 2 million copies.

In the feature film arena Iglesias has signed on to star in STXfilm’s animated feature Ugly Dolls alongside Kelly Clarkson, Pitbull, Blake Shelton and Nick Jonas.  His other film credits include A Haunted House 2, Show Dogs, Magic Mike, Magic Mike XXL and the animated films Coco, Ferdinand, The Star, Smurfs: The Lost Village, Norm of the North, The Book of Life, The Nut Job and Disney’s Planes. Gabriel also starred in the theatrical stand-up concert comedy film, The Fluffy Movie.
