IS IT TRUE we were sent this extremely interesting e-mail a couple of days ago?  …it’s time to get the story straight for everyone concern? …one of the Central Labor Council Executive Board members got very upset in the Executive Board meeting in March because he wanted to endorse candidates in the upcoming primary election but was shut down by the Executive Board members and the Central Labor Council President,  Jack McNeeley?  … its alleged the Labor Council has never endorsed anyone in a primary election? …its alleged that the Central Labor Council only endorses candidates in the November General election? …when the Executive Board members and the President didn’t go along with this individual idea he jumped up and stormed out of the meeting?  …then he resigned from the Central Labor Council Executive Board by mail in April? …we wonder who was the Labor Council Executive Board member who resigned?  …that this e-mail was sent to the CCO by Andrea Newton the Administrative Assistant for the Central Labor Council?  …this e-mail was posted with Andrea permission?

  1. Don’t know who , but with Winneke’s buddy Mike Pence about to do away with the prevailing wage law there goes the construction trade unions. I hope they realize where their bread is buttered when they vote in the primaries and in the fall

    • What an exciting and thought provoking subject for the saturday forum. Everyone should jump onto this subject with a suggestion of how this union board member should have talked to Gail and together they could run to Illinois and work out a solution to this HUGE travesty.

Is It True that the Editor’s message this morning is “extremely interesting” ?

          • That’s not what you said earlier. Is it a good day in IL too? I want to see what you say in here after Gail defeats Whinny for Mayor? You keep bringing up the past and don’t even know how much that actually Helps Gail with the Democrats. At least she had the balls to stand up to the GOP power grab. I wish we have more democrats like here in office.

          • Moveonout

As you probably know, usually I do not stay around to banter with the nuts (including you 🙂 ) on IIT, yet I will add one additional comment. Gail will follow the same spending trend that we have seen for many years, so even if she is able to win the election, there will be no change to normal day to day business in Evansville politics. I am an independent voter, neither demo or repub. My feelings are, when one deserts their job, they should be fired and that is what Gail did. If you or I, did not agree with our employer and went into hiding, or ran to Illinois, we would be fired. Too bad she didn’t work for a normal employer.

Have a wonderful day, it is beautiful in Evansville 🙂

          • I’m glad that you wish you would not stay around. but you lie. Yet you come back again. And if anyone is a nut it’s YOU mister.

    • Gail does not believe the citizens of Evansville have a right to know the results of the SBOA findings. Gail did not vote for people of faith to be able to practice their faith in peace and it’s true form. So, giddy for Gail, giddy up for Gail, look under the horses tail and you’ll find Gail.

      • POV…..What’s this “people of faith to be able to practice….IT’S TRUE FORM”………..stuff about?

What are you talking about? Riecken didn’t vote for what?

      • Gail didn’t need to vote for people of faith because they already have all the laws they need to practice their faith. But if you mean run over other in the practice of your faith then you are dead wrong. And I would support gail in stopping you from running over people in the name of your faith. You must remember that not all people practice YOUR particular faith and the law always will trump your church. That’s the way the founding fathers set things up when they formed this country. They had experience religious persecution back in England can came here to worship their faith freely but they didn’t want to make their faith all emcompasing so they decided to separate the church and the state in the American Colonies and this country. If you don’t like that then you should take that up with George Washington and his people not Gail. Sorry but I’m tired of hearing about your religious persecution which is a lame point of contention. You are free to worship your god but you can’t control the State with you religion.

        • I hardly think that the founders’ idea of religious liberty was that it would be subservient to sexual liberty.

The law does not trump the church. Our Constitution prohibits Congress, the government, from writing laws that inhibit the free expression of religion. Free expression does not mean it is restricted to the pew, the home, or the heart. When religious expression is made to step off the sidewalk and one is forced to violate one’s religious convictions the freedom our founders provided for us at risk, and if you think we can chip at religious liberty and not erode liberties you cherish you are being foolish. If one word, hate, can take down religious liberty, then the same word can take down freedom of speech.

  2. ‘[Secretary of Defense Ash, with the lovely wife,] Carter also discussed another U.S. priority in the Middle East: the ongoing fight to contain and control the Islamic State, and said he “would not hesitate” to advise putting putting boots on the ground, but “we are not at that point yet.”

This will stir up the liberal leftists, it may be necessary to put US boots on the ground to stop the murderous barbaric ISIS armies that grew in strength while Obama golfed, fundraised and was busy threatening Israel and Egypt’s Sisi for perceived slights.

    • Joebiden are you going to volunteer to go to Iraq and Syria to fight? If not then shut up. Put your money and body where your mouth is. Don’t try to send other people or their kids into a conflict that you yourself would not go to.

  3. Anyone else notice that Billery is going to release a video tomorrow announcing she is running for President. Other announced candidates followed with visits around the country and many press meetings. Not for her. She will be having living room and coffee shop type meetings where the press will be allowed photos. She will be touting all the experience she has but for some reason doesn’t want to answer any hard questions. She shouldn’t have much to fear as the major media will be fawning over her anyway.

    • COWBOY….Ha! You just described GOP Candidate Scott Walker.

….THAT is a guy hiding from the press’ questions.

      • Quark, I don’t believe Gov. Walker has announced has he ? The media are after him because he polls well right now and could be a threat to Billery.

      • If he scrubbed his hard drive he’d probably do prison time. Nixon resigned insane over less than 18 minutes of missing tape. Think Hillary isn’t getting a pass from the media?

  4. Thanks for the support Unions! Can’t wait to destroy your jobs after November!

    Love,
    The GOP

    • Unions are now insignificant to the liberal democrat party. They have been used and discarded. There are now enough minorities to get the necessary votes. Unions have become as obsolete as the buggy whip.

      Love
      The GOD=Greedy Old Democrats.

      • You could not be more wrong. Union members are very important to us. We plan to drain a great deal more money from our union brothers and sisters while we import the next generation of progressive voters AND give away the jobs and livelihoods of these current union members.

      • You are right POV. This whole “we need to stop the unions” stuff is DEAD MEAT conversation. There is no union movement to stop. I can never figure out why candidates still want to talk about something that’s been a goner for several years now. Stop Union influence? What union influence?

    • What type of person wants to go see the men in blue fight those that fight fires? Really that’s Neanderthal mentality IMHO

      • The proceeds from this charity event goes to several different not for profit organization. Since you did not go to this event I guess you can go to the Easter Seals telethon tomorrow and make fun of the patients there.
But I doubt if you will do that. You are a strong person making remarks about whatever on this blog behind your computer screen. You are a weak and a small person who write comments to infuriate people. You must really enjoy your life.

  5. When is Richard Howard EFD Chief Fire Investigator going to release the cause of the houseboat fire at Inland Mariana. He’s been lax on determing and publicizing the cause and origin of this fire. This fire caused millions of dollars of damage to the boats and the marina and the public deserves to know what caused the fire. The boat is out of the water and it’s been examined now for a long time. Is this investigator capable of discovering the cause and origin of the fire or not?

    • Move, Call Mr. Howard and demand an answer. Explain to him you have been expecting an answer since about 8 hours after the fire. Tell him you are very disappointed in him because he didn’t have one at that time.

  6. Am I the only one who has noticed Stephanie Brunkerhoff-Riley’s former office space at Lynch and Oak Hill Roads (former Oak Hill School, former Oak Hill Library, current lawyers office) has been vacated and is up for lease? Is she still practicing law? Has she moved to another location?
