NON COMPLIANCE OF POLITICAL CAMPAIGN REPORTS IN VANDERBURGH COUNTY

20

dv1673053Last week we were informed by one of our “MOLE” that we should ask the Vanderburgh County Election Board for a current copy concerning the status of the filing of political campaign reports.

Attached is a copy of a list of individuals and PAC committees that are not in compliance with the State of Indiana Election laws requirements concerning the filing of current or final/disbanding political activity reports according to the Vanderburgh County Election Board.  This information was e-mailed to the CCO yesterday (February 14,2014) by them and we have posted this information without editing.

NOTICE.  This reporting schedule does not list all reports required from all committees.  Committees who have change in the person serving as committee treasurer, candidates filling ballot vacancies, independent and minor party candidates, some Libertarian, some candidates nominated in a town convention, and write-in candidate maybe required to file additional reports that are not listed in this reporting schedule.  These requirements are described in other sections of the rules manual.

Every committee will continue to have an open committee until it files the required final/disbanding report.

Every open committee must file required reports with the Indiana Election Division (or the County Election Board) whether or not the committee made a contribution or expenditure during the preceding reporting period.

    • I’m going to act completely shocked that David Mosby is on this list. Eh screw it, I just can’t do it.

  1. Compliance has been a national joke ever since ActBlue hit the scene (2004). Offshore money pouring into one particular party and virtually no way of tracing the actual donor.

All they do is rake in the outside money and hand it out to democrat 527 groups that could never raise that amount on their own.

Its been going on for 10 years now. Sooner or later those who are charged with enforcement will have to get their hands into this steaming pile of excrement and send some people to jail, hopefully for life.

  2. I hear that Jarboe guy now wants to run for County Commissioner. He doesn’t have the follow through to fill out a simple financial report.

    • So you know Rep. Sullivan is responsible for filing or not filing the unspecified report, correct? Which report do you claim she didn’t file?

Wonder if you have a clue what you are trying to slander her for? I think not.

  3. And, from the CCO’s “notice”, they acknowledge this list is merely a list that doesn’t mean squat, but it is good for getting ignorant comments from the trolls like Marty F and Westsider.

    Only one missing is Linzy.

  4. Make sure you don’t say anything negative about the CCO’s pet candidates. Just like the CP. Sad.

  5. Why don’t you guys just read the report and who see who hasn’t filed the political financial reports on time. I’m also getting tired of the continually sniping of the CCO. If you don’t like what they are posting read else where.

  6. Would like to know if anyone was tipped off by a mole about their report not being in compliance with all of the regulations. And if they did tip someone off would the CCO report it.

  7. Since last year (2013) was not an election year, I assume most people mentioned just forgot to file. Some of the committees are defunct and these people did not file a form notifying the proper authority of that.

    • Bill, as you know, when Susie Kirk was County Clerk she always was prompt, thorough, and helpful in this regard, and she always sent out notifications along with pertinent documents to candidates, PACs or persons who required to file regarding active committees.

Also it’s very easy to terminate a committee. All it takes is filling in a couple of lines on one form, signing it, and returning it to the County Clerk.

  8. THE WOODPILE REPORT

    11 February, 2014

    None of the above

The productive populace is abandoning many cities and some states, leaving behind reservations of net consumers skilled in grievance politics and efficiently sopping up unearned benefits. Growth in these places is reckoned in numbers of the demanding and civic-minded, meaning they’re professional voters rounded up and trotted to the polls, the trip-lever that releases goodies into the trough with promise of more to come. There’s a reason it works like this.

No longer allowed to make natural adjustments, even on common ground, the cities and states have self-segregated, partitioning themselves into fiefdoms whose first duty is to menace and loot the others. DC actually prefers to have spoon-fed inmates stumbling around in a fogbound maze, wasting their lives fighting each other. DC simply won’t allow the rest of us to make real changes in their cities and states. No, they’re not our cities and states. Ask ’em. They’ll show you cities and states and courts are their wholly owned subsidiaries art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif. They tip their hand every time some Mother Jones-appointed federal judge nullifies a state referendum or DC withholds funds to kill a constitutional state law.

It doesn’t actually matter to a holding company which of their franchises a customer chooses. It only matters that it be important to us. Every few years well-rehearsed dimwits parachute in from the Emerald City and put on their Punch and Judy show, cheering and scolding and imploring us to elect this or that wizard and subwizard. They do this as if their seating arrangement should matter to us, which is all that’s being decided. Voting itself changes nothing because elections change nothing, just as a crew change doesn’t mean the train’s going somewhere the tracks don’t go. What really matters is the turnout. It matters to DC, not to the voters, it’s their sole remaining claim to legitimacy.

True legitimacy comes only from the consent of the governed. Bait and switch is not consent. Gerrymandering and vote-rigging is not consent. Imported electorates are not consent. But voluntary turnout at the polls is consent. We’ve seen this before. In the Soviet Union, where ordinary conversation was also a prosecutable offense—they invented political correctness—turnout was 99%. Simulated democracy was the first step in Marx’s communism. Contrary to Cold War propaganda there was some turnover in the Politburo, more turnover than in the US Congress it’s claimed, but the direction was just as pre-decided and nonnegotiable. High turnout was taken as consent, and consent legitimized their license as owner-operator.

Voters aren’t innocents, they know they’re co-conspirators in a criminal enterprise. There is but one legal strategy remaining to honest Americans. Withhold your vote. Withhold your vote and you withhold consent. Withhold your consent and you withhold legitimacy. The surest route to change is empty voting booths. Stay home on election day. Not only is it your civic duty, you aren’t really missing anything. Your vote counts for nothing and it changes nothing. If it did it would be illegal. How has voting worked for you so far? Abandoning their dog’n pony show is what really scares ’em, they don’t know what you’re up to. Noncompliance worries DC. You may be using your time to prepare for the coming Troubles.

One could say that is exactly what happened in the last election cycle when enough registered republicans to change the outcome of the election stayed home and did not vote.

BTW, I love the line: ” Voting itself changes nothing because elections change nothing, just as a crew change doesn’t mean the train’s going somewhere the tracks don’t go.” If the republican party could just get this message before it is too late…….well one can dream.

Press, I have to agree! And that is exactly the goal of special interests and minority political parties – to discourage voter participation and drive down the voter turnout so that the special interest or minority party operatives’ get out the vote (GOTV) efforts pay off for them.

It’s what wedge politics and legislative gridlock is all about – generate disgust among the populace and discourage voter turnout, which along with an effective GOTV operation can change the majorities in state legislatures and the U.S. Congress. Then subsequent gerrymandering by the new legislature and congressional majorities perpetuate “the change” even though it doesn’t truly represent the will or the political philosophy of the majority of the populace.

        • Bill I really believe it was people who were disgusted with their party and no longer believed that it represented what they believed in.

It is not as if we have not seen plenty of evidence of that right here on the CCO threads.

They do not think the people currently running the party have a clue. The Tea Party movement is evidence of just that. It was the Tea Party that gave the control of the House back to the republican party in the 2010 mid terms, and also gained seats in the Senate. Have they been given their well deserved place at the table? Hardly.

Without the transfusion of new blood, which is waiting in the wings, the party will continue to lose both membership and elections.
