Mike Braun released the following statement in response to the Indiananapolis Business Journal’s report that Indiana’s Obamacare premiums will rise an average of five percent next year.
“I wish I could say I am surprised that costs for healthcare continue to increase – but this has been business as usual ever since Obamacare passed,†said Mike Braun. “Just last week Senator Donnelly bragged about being the vote to pass Obamacare. Sleepin’ Joe should not be proud of voting for premium increases of 74% over the last five years and insurers leaving the marketplace.â€
“In my experience in the real world, running a business and creating good jobs for fellow Hoosiers, we haven’t raised premiums for employees in a decade. In the Senate, I will use my business experience and work with President Trump to fully repeal Obamacare and implement free-market solutions that will provide better healthcare for Hoosiers.â€
