Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. was the 49th governor of Indiana and currently serves as the 12th president of Purdue University. As governor, he was reelected with more votes than any candidate in state history. As the president of Purdue, he is nationally recognized for freezing tuition for eight years and for challenging the traditional model for higher education administration. Because of his leadership in both roles, he has been named by a prominent national magazine as one of the world’s fifty greatest leaders.
