The Libertarian Party of Vanderburgh County would like to invite you to our Meet the Candidate Night this Saturday, November 3rd at the Fox & Hound Restaurant in Evansville from 6-8PM. This will be your last chance to meet and discuss issues with a wide range of candidates from the Libertarian Party before you cast your vote next Tuesday. The list of candidates includes Kurt Clement for County Council at Large, Brad Klopfenstein for Lt. Governor, Rupert Boneham for Governor, Bart Gadau for Congress, Andrew Horning for Senate, and our special guest Judge Jim Gray who is Gary Johnson’s VP running mate. The event is free to the public, however individuals will purchase their own food/drinks, and we also ask that you please bring a couple canned goods which will be donated to the Evansville Christian Life Center so they can stock the shelves of their emergency food bank for the winter. Hope to see everyone there!!

Best Regards,
Bart Gadau LPVC Chairman

  1. I voted early and I voted for Gary Johnson for President. If Ron Paul had won the nomination I would have voted Republican!!!!

    • Thanks for voting early and not clogging the polls for people casting votes that will actually count.

      • Some people actually care about the state of the country, our economic system, and overwhelming government infringement on state and individual sovereignty. So intern, some of us aren’t voting this “go around” for propped up establishment-type candidates that fold up like cheap chairs. A vote for a third party candidate is an outcry and a plea for real change in politics. It is a holler to stop the madness in Washington. I can’t sustain the debt reckless politicians have accumulated that I will be paying for, and my children sure in the heck can’t sustain it. I have a awaken at the corruptness of both parties, and see both as nothing more as barricades to freedom. Sure I know ABO has sure racked up the nation’s credit card, but it wasn’t just him. The lies of Washington date back to pre-FDR. I used to be a Republican Tea Party member, but now I am a Ron Paul Tea Party member. RESTORE THE REPUBLIC, BRING ACCOUNTABILITY TO WASHINGTON, AND RESTORE FREEDOM TO ALL AMERICANS. Social issues aren’t the big issues this go around, the big issues are jobs, the economy, and lifting regulations caused by autotuned government agencies.

Ron Paul proposed $1,000,000,000,000 in cuts in his first year. People laughed.

He proposed an end to the FED and a manipulation of currency, which causes inflation, which causes poverty for some Americans (fiat dollar). People laughed.

He proposed the closing of multiple agencies. People on both sides continue to laugh, yet cry fowl when those agencies do harm to them that cry.

You do realize the task Mitt Romney has before him?
You do realize if there is no plan, he will cave?

I must say I have thought about voting for Romney, but will he be more of the same? Isn’t he just another McCain? It isn’t my problem the GOP propped up a ridiculous candidate, when they have had one right in front of them speaking the same truth he did 40 years ago!

Socialism has no color, no race, no party affiliation. Socialism seeks to take all government and turn it into one national government. I have yet to see one GOP presidential candidate (besides Ron Paul) face this fact, and propose changes.

I do wish you well, and hope you too can see through the silver lining of the GOP.

        Who is John Galt?

        • Saddening. Some people would rather criticize than add credible dialogue to the conversation.

          • What’s sad is the lack of ability to see that a trillion dollar cut to the federal budget would be devastating to our economy. It’s also sad to believe that the tired old ideas of Libertarians will ever be mainstream. There’s a reason that most people find Libertarians/Tea Partiers to be extreme- their ideas suck. When will you people admit that there is no such thing as pure capitalism and there never has been? The Libertarian party has had more than enough time to take hold if it had valuable insight or creative ideas. It hasn’t and it never will. These are people who do not live in reality. They would leave the weakest of our society out in the cold and having to fend for themselves. I’m not prepared to tell elderly people and handicapped children to get a job. I’m also not prepared to tell women that they belong at home, barefoot and pregnant. But thank you for voting for the Libertarian candidate. It’s one less vote for Romney.

          • Wow, what a critic. It’s always refreshing to see people who have never achieved any political success in their own lives criticize those that have. I guess you know better than someone who has managed to get elected to the Senate multiple times and become the Vice President of the United States. The millions of people who have voted for Biden over the years must be missing something. You must be Paul Ryan. No? There’s probably a reason you didn’t get the call from Romney.

            • Thank you for that. Anyone thinks Biden is anything but a doofus is just not paying attention. Elected office is the only job in America with no qualifications at all associated with it. People will elect just about anyone with a smile and a pulse if they are promised something for free.

          • My guess is Biden has a lot more money, influence and a better looking wife than you do. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

            • Donald Trump has more money than Biden, a prettier wife, more influence than Joe Biden. Despite all of that they have one thing in common and that is the fact that they are both jerks with some very strange ways of thinking. The only financial advantage I have on Biden is that I donate a higher percentage of my income to charity. Biden spends his to keep his wife looking good.

    • If Ron Paul’s delegates weren’t kicked out of the RNC, I might have voted GOP! I would rather throw away my vote, than throw away my country.
