Juvenile arrested at the Fall Festival for threatening kill officers

Evansville Police arrested a 16 year old on multiple charges after he threatened to kill several officer who were assigned to the Fall Festival public safety detail on Monday night.
The juvenile approached a group of officers at the intersection of Wabash and Franklin St, threw a bottle of apple cider on the ground at their feet, and began yelling obscenities and racial slurs at them. Although the officers had made no attempt to make contact with him prior to his outburst, he appeared agitated and directed his hostility towards the officers.
Due to his conduct, officer informed him he was no longer allowed in the festival area and told him to leave. The juvenile refused to leave.
The juvenile was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. During his arrest, he fought with officers and made several threats to kill the officers. He went on to say he had a pistol and would see the officers when he was released from custody.
The juvenile was placed at the Youth Care Center. He is charged with 4 counts of Intimidation, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Disorderly Conduct.
