Ivy Tech Evansville Now Enrolling for Fall Classes Starting August 18
Evansville, IN – Ivy Tech Community College is now enrolling for Fall classes. And, it is planning to increase to full capacity its in-person classes as the campus is now fully open.
As Ivy Tech Evansville re-bounded to exceed pre-pandemic levels of enrollment this summer, it reflected on lessons learned at the beginning of quarantine, and changes made to course delivery in the last 15 months. “We learned from the pandemic that our students desire and need flexibility in how their courses are delivered,†said Daniela Vidal, chancellor of the Evansville, Princeton and Tell City locations. “So, while we know we have many individuals who like coming in-person to a classroom and seeing their professor face-to-face, we also have many who like the option of taking classes through IvyOnline, or virtually at a specific day and time.
“One of the developments during the time we were in quarantine with the rest of the world, was also our Learn Anywhere course delivery option,†Vidal said. “This gives students the ultimate in flexibility – with the ability to choose between virtual, in-person, or online, as needed.†None of these options are going away, she added.
Vidal said that the Princeton and Tell City Career and Technology Centers, also have a variety of classes planned for fall, to serve students closer to those communities.
There are many ways those interested in learning more about Ivy Tech can do so. Offices are fully open and staffed, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and on July 14, 28, and Aug. 1, Walk-in Wednesday Open Houses are planned, from noon-2 p.m.
Students may apply online at www.ivytech.edu/applynow and will receive notification on their next steps to enroll in classes at Ivy Tech Community College.
