Vandy Dems Love Free Chicken

IS IT TRUE? November 1, 2011 Afternoon Edition

IS IT TRUE that the discovery today that the Bauerhaus has filed a lawsuit to be paid for the food that was consumed at the Achievement Awards banquet held by the Vanderburgh County Democratic Party today was somewhat of a surprise because people who attended actually paid way more than the cost of the fried chicken to attend?…that this dinner was a fund raiser?…that certainly enough funds were raised to pay for the buffet style fried chicken and all the fixins dinner that was served?…that it merits concern anytime that a local business gets stiffed on a tab that we understand is just under the $3,500 limit that small claims courts allow?…that the attorney representing the Bauerhaus is a well know Democrat named Curt J. Angermier so this lawsuit does not appear to be politically motivated at all?…that one would think that someone in the inner circle of the Vanderburgh Democrat Party would have just stepped forward and paid this tab before it came to this?

IS IT TRUE that Mole #49 tells the City County Observer that this is not the only outstanding debt that the Vanderburgh County Democrat Party has?…that we are digging into this right now and expect to be making another post regarding the debts of the Democrat Party as early as tonight?…that now that we are speaking of debt that we are reminded that the “Report of Receipts and Expenditures of a Political Committee” report filed by the Vanderburgh County Democratic Party as required by law with Susan Kirk, the Clerk of the Vanderburgh County Circuit Court on October 21, 2011, CLEARLY STATED THAT THE DEBTS OWED BY THE COMMITTEE OR TO THE COMMITTEE ARE IDENTICALLY EQUAL TO ZERO?

IS IT TRUE that there is no question that the “Report of Receipts and Expenditures of a Political Committee” report filed by the Vanderburgh County Democratic Party is not correct?…that Bauerhaus was most certainly the site of the Awards Banquet?…that they have no reason at all to file a small claim against an organization that has been a long time customer of theirs so let’s just assume that their claim is valid?…that we wonder if the fact that no debts are listed by the Vanderburgh County Democrat Party on an official court document is the result of POOR FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT?…that if this is just a simple mistake then when the facts that we anticipate coming later today from Mole #49 are released if POOR becomes ABYSMAL, or INTENTIONAL?…that even if the Vanderburgh County Democratic Party admitted the debts, they do not have the money to pay them?…that the “Report of Receipts and Expenditures of a Political Committee” report filed by the Vanderburgh County Democratic Party shows a cash balance of only $2,152.16?

IS IT TRUE that getting stiffed on a debt seems to be the prevailing behavior in Evansville recently?…that Klenck Construction is still waiting for a satisfactory arrangement for being paid for work completed on the City of Evansville owned property that the Executive Inn and its parking garage sat on?…that Ford Center project manager John Kish stated clearly that the City of Evansville was not obligated or planning to pay for that debt which is over $300,000?…that both the Vanderburgh County Democratic Party, City of Evansville, and the Ford Center Project have somehow found plenty of money to pay OUT OF TOWN CONSULTANTS who make political contributions?…that the practice of stiffing LOCAL BUSINESSES and LOCAL TAXPAYERS must cease immediately?…that we expect to elaborate a bit more on the stiffing of Vanderburgh County Taxpayers very soon?

IS IT TRUE that we call upon someone who values the lost integrity of the Vanderburgh County Democrat Party to step forward with $3,500 and earmark a contribution to pay the Bauerhaus immediately?…that if not many people may be voting next week with the bad taste of 4 month old unpaid for chicken in their mouths?

  1. Owen and all his clowns (aka followers) are toast – as they should be. This is yet ANOTHER example of what an embarrassment they are.

    Karma. Ouch.

    • LOL…I say let them go to court and answer the charges, Weinzapfel will be out of a job by the court date, Jarvis can drive them all down to the court house…maybe the judge will be sympathetic with the three stooges. 😮

      JMHO

  2. Why are the Demos taking it out against the Germans? First they stiff Klenck Construction and now Bauerhaus ? Das ist nicht so gut !!!
Pay das invoice und trinken eine bier.

  3. Rick Davis could score big political and PR points by stepping forward and paying this out of his campaign funds.

Not sure if he has enough financial wiggle room to do it, but it would be a media coup if he did.

    • I’m reminded of the Phil Hoy letter… (Better stick with eating at the union hall next time, fellas?)

Doesn’t this strike you as sabotage? Davis can’t start smoothing out every ridiculously unpaid bill or they’ll bleed him dry.

Is this the kind of in-fighting that we’ll see continuing after a Davis victory?

      • I don’t pretend to understand all of the behind-the-scenes dynamics of the local Democratic party, but something tells me that these hijinks will die down after the election is over.

Right now, the Machine is throwing everything they have at Davis in an attempt to keep him out of office. If he wins, he’ll have 4 years to dismantle them. The smarter ones will make their apologies and do their penance. The “dead-enders” will ultimately be removed.

At least that’s my 2 cents.

        • Well, was this the work of the Evil, Conniving Machine? Is Wayne Parke the sinister force that saw to it that the Bauerhaus was stiffed? What will be the rationale to pin the blame for this on Winnecke and his handlers? Face it, the guy who ran the Machine better than anyone else, before or since, was “Lonesome Larry” Aiken, and all of the honchos in the Democratic Party Machine know it. Ever since he died the party has gone down the tubes at light speed. Nobody could con the dumb dupes in this town with B.S. like Larry! Save the Party: Exhume Lonesome Larry from the grave, the Democratic Party needs a resurrection to elect Picky Ricky!

  4. It’s actually Curt John Angermeier that sued the Democratic party for the Bauerhaus.

    • He is not a Democrat! He’s his own man! He did not name himself! Curt wishes his name was Ellsworth!

    • BrainsB, great post! Yes, the local Central Committee officers have been warned by the State Democratic party and that’s why they signed the “we are family” resolution for Connie Robinson. They are playing a game of “chicken” with the State Democrats. The gang of 23 gambles the State Democrats will not try remove the local party leasdership if the gang of 23 can hold together, with the old Mayor and his $750,000 war chest as their ace in the hole. If Mr. Davis wins, as a loyal Democrat, and with the State Democratic party, they will remove the disloyal Central Committee officers for breach of duty. The gang of 23 will do all in their power to keep their local Democrat power, despite acting against the majority of their own primary voters and in breach of their sworn duty as local party officers.

    • Great Article.

“Clark was removed from office following a formal investigation into allegations that he allowed Democratic party officials to openly support the Republican mayoral candidate in New Castle in 2007, leading to the election of the first Republican mayor there in 56 years.

Party rules allow for the removal of a party officer for neglect of duty; willful violation of the party rules; conviction of a felony; disloyalty to the party; or any other course of conduct that does not promote the best interests of the party or creates dissension within the party. ”

In Evansville’s case, it will be “the first Republican mayor since that guy who went to the Cher concert”

    • Wait until next year’s banquet, Chuck. When the IDP takes control of the locals, they’ll be serving nothing but red hot left wings and deep fried a–holes.

      • Deep fried a-holes? Sounds like the Central Committee’s usual fare at the Fall Festival.

        [I kid, I kid…]

  5. What is wrong with people!!! Come on, it isn’t that difficult to be responsible for debts. Maybe, Mr. Friend needs to refresh his accounting skills. Not a class act at all, but then again, look who we’re dealing with.

    • You are damn right Carly. We got a lawyer O’Daniel who is da treasurer that signs an incorrect election document and a CPA Friend who is head of finance that provided no oversight. The Vanderburgh Dems ought to just go get their officers at Labor Ready. Their educated professionals do have enough sense to poor piss out of a boot. Now what are we gonna do about a campaign finance statement that is either the work of disinterested people or flat our fraud? Will any heads roll over this?

      • Are you kidding? This the Democratic Party, where NOBODY is accountable for anything that goes wrong, like the Reickens pocketing $1,500,000 of the taxpayers’ money for overcharges for a silly little boat dock for the LST!

You wnat to talk about The Machine? I’ll tell you all about your damned machine!

      • An attorney, O’Daniel, who says he fights meth, as everyone has a right to a fair trial & is a social issue for families & society. I get that…so he defends meth manufacturers & dealers who aren’t convicted, continue to resume where they left off before being arrested. And, the cycle of social issues continue, so much for fighting meth….O’Daniel is trying to camouflage what his true plans are which are nothing!! No, Rev., heads won’t roll, they’re part of the “machine.” E’ville’s government needs a complete turnover & unfortunately we need patience to see a favorable improvement city management. As far as the Demos go, let’em be status quo. On the other hand, Bill Kramer a Repub. attempted to rip-off Vectren by tampering with his meter, so can he be trusted with our well-being? Carry on folks, do your civic duty & be mindful of the “characters” you vote for.

  6. Mr. O’Daniel and Mr. Friend’s only mistake was to trust their Democratic leadership of Mr. Owen, Mr. Jarvis and Ms. Robinson. Both Mr. O’Daniel and Mr. Friend are good men with good intentions. The gang of 23 will soon thin as they worry about impeachment from the State Democratic party and even worse. It hit the fan as the inner workings of the Central Committee finally are starting to come to light.
