  1. so Warrick County gets a $95 million dollar investment for only 7.75 million? They must have a better negotiator than Evansville.

  2. It’s amazing how republican morons don’t care about Iraq but care about an email server that may or may not have been compromised. Hillary is crooked, just like 99% of politicians. She’s just slightly less disgusting than Trump. A Trump presidency would mean total economic collapse and world war. The death toll would top 1 billion.

    • Better be careful. Obama is personally reading your comments. He’s gunna come git yer guns!

      • Thought I would pass this along to you ghost in case they have dropped you from their list for failing to make financial contributions:

        http://thesmokinggun.com/file/dnc-rnc-plan

That is what they are putting out for public consumption. What their real plans are will no doubt be more aligned with incitement to riot by the usual cadre of rent-a-mob thrill seekers.

  3. Ms. Ragland made a “promise” not to run again? Or, did she say it 4 years ago and then change her mind? We are disappointed that the CCO doesn’t know the difference and is attempting to besmirch Ms. Ragland’s good name while pandering to a 28 year politician who doesn’t make “political waves”.

    • Who are you referring to? If you mean Alex Burton, I think you’re barking up the wrong tree. The last I heard, he isn’t running. He may have changed his mind, though.

      • Laura, if you didn’t read the article, don’t comment. It makes your comprehension skills appear weak.

        • I read the article, and see no “28 year old politician” mentioned by anyone except you. I’m guessing now that you are referring to Det. Worthington. It is a good rule of communication to refer to a person by name rather than by a description that might be unclear to readers.

          • I apparently have been giving you too much credit. I will resolve that error on my part. I should have realized sooner given the number of times you have referenced any woman you disagree with as a “bimbo”.

Clue #1 for you: Who has a 28 year as described in the article?
Clue #2 for you: Who is described as not known to cause “political waves”?

If you are still in the dark about who I’m referring to:
Clue #3 for you: He’s the minister of a Howell church. A church is a place where people go to worship together. I figured I would have to explain it’s meaning to you.

          • LKB – disaffected’s comment references a “28 year politician”, not a “28 year old politician”. And the original article refers to Terry Gamblin as a “28 year politician”. Better get those reading glasses replaced.

    • Karen Ragland doesn’t have a good attendance record at School Board meetings and she changes her mind on a dime. I’m sure she is a respectable woman, but I think the schools would be better served by someone else.

      • I agree. My original post was only questioning the CCO’s use of the word “promise” in their evaluation of Ms. Ragland’s decision to run for another term.

  4. If you go to Orthopedics Associates you will notice that the lobby is full of people. There is a great need for Orthopedic doctors in this area as the Baby Boomer age. Bone injuries and tendon tears are common these days and there is a great need for medical care in this part of the medical field.

Orthopedic Associates has a huge building on Epworth Rd right across the street from Deaconess Gateway Hospital. It only makes sense for Tri-State-Orthopedics to build a new facility in this area. They need to be able to capture the Newburgh baby boomers and those that live East of Evansville before Deaconess does. That is where St. Mary’s Comes into the pictures.
If you look out on the West Site you will find that OA has a new West Side Facility that’s big. And recently Tri-State-Orthopedics either rented or purchased a building on Pearl Drive. These two orthopedic businesses are in competition and there are plenty of patients to go around.

OA has physical therapy people right in their building on both the East and West Sides and can provide OT and PT therapy right there on site. I would think that TSO can do the same thing in this new facility.

When the new Medical School is finished and starts spitting out new Doctors they will have a place to work if they choose a career in Orthopedics.

    • The medical school is for family practice doctors, not Orthopedists. They will have to leave for several years in order to be trained in their specialty.

    • Tri-State Orthopaedics (that’s orthopaedics, not orthopedics) has a huge facility on Crosslake Drive, catty-corner across the I-69/Lloyd Expressway interchange from Deaconess Gateway. Bigger than anything Orthopaedic Associates has anywhere. It’s a stand-alone facility offering rehab (ProRehab), treatment, and surgery. Not sure why they’re building a new facility in conjunction with St. Mary’s.

  5. Since when does the investigator decide on what level an offense is prosecutable?

    • They offer an opinion, which is what he did. A prosecutor could bring charges but the AG already said that’s not going to happen. Yes, this thing was rigged, but Donald Trump is still a dangerous proposition. I don’t think Hillary ever thought something as simple as a god damn email server would get this kind of traction. If she was deliberately sending signals to our enemies, of course I’d be calling for her head. You know, kind of like Republican hero Jonathan Pollard.

    • Since he sees the evidence as it discovered and any prosecution hinges on that evidence. He makes his recommendation, but doesn’t do the final ‘deciding’. Maybe they’ll change their mind, I wouldn’t count on it though. Comey is pretty much clean through the years. That is not to say that, hypothetically of course, if your kids are Tarmac Threatened it could color what charges, if any, you’d recommend.

When he testifies tomorrow before the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee they won’t get anywhere with him. They’ll seat-strut around and read their questions, their posing will underscore how weak and desperate they are. The unusual looking Jason Chaffetz trod over three babies this morning to get to the microphones first. Rafael ‘The Face’ Cruz has questioned Comey’s integrity. These people are amazing, they see the House and Senate changing with the election of the Hildebeast and will hold their hearings and besmirch the FBI. It won’t matter, the Republicans have nominated a mutant gas bag.

If Rump can’t beat The Beast straight up he should turn it over to someone who can. Betting on an indictment is usually an iffy electoral strategy.

      • Who would replace Trump? None of the other sixteen candidates are any better. Maybe Paul Ryan, the spiritual son of Ayn Rand could do it.

        • As Don said here a while back, Ryan is waiting in the tall grass. He might have already done himself in though, his wishy-washy endorsement of Trump can’t help him in the long run.

    • Never. Even the Director’s old boss says it’s unheard of to hold a press conference and present findings to the press, much less make a prosecutorial recommendation, especially when you enumerate the many unlawful acts committed by the object of the investigation.

  6. The JD has a rule about not influencing elections. Any indictment would definitely do that. I suspect that had some bearing on the decision. Also they have to do everything to stop Trump. Sad day for the rule of law.

  7. IS IT TRUE… The Liberal safe haven for overpriced caffeinated beverages is once again raising their prices even though the cost of coffee beans continues to decline and is expected to further decline based on future bean production in South and Central America? Starbucks cited increasing employee wages and rent as being factors in the decision to adjust their prices. With a net worth in the 85 billion range and CEO compensation upwards of 21 million per year, you wouldn’t think paying a “living wage” for employees would not have to result in a price increase. Once again, those of us who warned of wage increases for relatively unskilled labor likely being passed on to the consumer seem to be vindicated…

I however am not concerned as I would much rather refill my personal cup if need be at Huck’s or Pilot any day as it is better coffee and actually affordable…

    • I don’t think anybody ever said it wouldn’t be. The actual increase resulting from paying a living wage is negligible. The people who frequent Starbuck’s will continue to do so, most likely you’re worrying about something that doesn’t affect you.

    • After the dumb-azz stunt that Starbuckle’s management team pulled refusing to allow their product to be purchased and shipped to our troops in Afganistan, and Starbuckle’s CEO lieing outright that there would be no price increases on their products for a long period of time after their last price increase, and that last price increase on their coffee products ALSO included a price increase on their baked goods which was blamed on the cost of coffee beans too, it’s pretty easy to see why Starbuckle’s management team is on the Hillary bandwagon.

    • If the CCO management/editorial staff would spend as much time proof checking their product before pushing tbe “Post” button as they do pimping for Ron Geary the lead-in “Is It True” wouldn’t be so egregious.

Seriously guys, take your time and read what you write before you post it.

      “orthopaedics”, not “orthopedics”.
      “FBI Director”, not “FRI Director”.
      “…if Trump SELECTS…” – twice no less.
      “will”, not “wii”.
“…Eric Holcomb’s running mate?”, not “…Eric Holcomb running mate?”.
“…and all three ARE running for another term?”. “…they are District 1 candidate is Karen Ragland and District 3 candidates are Rev. Terry Gamblin and Jeff Worthington?” – Seriously? Get your verbs to agree.
“…is approachable and TRIES to do WHAT’S right…”
      “…from THE Joshua Academy…”.
“…that Mrs. Ragland PLAYED both ends…”

  8. Not that this will matter to Ghost or LKB, there are flat out missing Hillary e-mails related the the Rosatom scam where Bill and Hillary helped Russia buy a uranium mining company and the Clinton Foundation received millions of dollars in contributions. This action is criminal standing alone

    http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/07/06/peter-schweizer-whats-missing-strange-gaps-hillarys-email-history/

    http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/24/us/cash-flowed-to-clinton-foundation-as-russians-pressed-for-control-of-uranium-company.html?_r=0

    • Keep on deflecting. You cannot offer any positives for your candidate, only negatives for the other. Sad.

    • Either the U.S. is sitting on a new energy source that has replaced the need for uranium, or the
Clintons have been instrumental in sabotaging the security of the United States by aiding a foreign government’s ability to weaponize on a larger scale, and the Clintons did this for the sole goal of increasing their personal wealth.

  9. Editor,
I assume you know it is July 6 not June 6. I have noticed that a lot of odds and ends crap in the form of “borrowed articles” is seeping into the CCO. Some of them are really not worth your time or mine. Others are too sad to support. Please stand for something when you choose your articles. Think about it.
