  1. It is smart for Schaefer, Scales, Vidal, Schulz, and Hammer to start a political PAC called “Evansville’s Future”

…simply because TRUMP IS SUCH A DISASTROUS POLITICAL LIABILITY to the Republican Party this election. Every GOP candidate running for office has a “Trump is a clown” headwind against them trying to win.

Why?…the Democrats are in position to have “a landslide win.” We’re staring down losing the White House, losing the Senate and watching the Dem seats in the House actually increase because Trump is a fool and has destroyed our economy by pure negligence and malpractice.

God help the United States. We are at a 60-year high on unemployment because of Trump.

  2. “…partial…” ? Partial what?

    Parcel. A real estate lot.

Was my previous comment too tough for you and your dictionary?

  3. “IS IT TRUE that that Tropicana plush new land-based casino is an awesome upgrade from the old boat?  …the employees are very accommodating, the food at the buffet and deli are affordable and delicious, the gaming offerings are extremely impressive?…we highly recommend that you visit Tropicana-Evansville because its this region’s best gaming establishment?”
Apparently you’ve never been to the Tropicana casino. The buffet is closed and will never reopen. The Deli is an overpriced hole-in-the-wall. And the casino slot machines are extremely tight; the Tropicana has the lowest slot machine payout in the State of Indiana. And the table games are incredibly expensive to play; the lowest Blackjack game is $25/hand. And the casino is full of smoke; to get to the very small non-smoking area, players have to walk thru the smoking area.

  4. You ask: “HOW DO YOU FEEL THAT WE SHOULD ADDRESS THE COVID-19 VIRUS.” First, we must decide what we value more-People’s lives and health or the opening of businesses? If we value life and health more, then we have to bite the bullet and NOT open too soon. With the recent re-closures of bars, eateries and the like due to exposure to COVID, we should be listening to experts like Dr. Fauci. Up till now I have given Gov. Holcomb credit for managing the crisis is a thoughtful, deliberate manner. However, now, I think he must issue orders that mandate face masks in ANY and ALL businesses that are open and he needs to slow the rest of the reopening. Otherwise, I fear a return to a “quarantine in place”, and no one wants that. COVID-19 is real, it continues to spread in Evansville and the area and unless we act responsibly, many or our grand parents, parents and even children will suffer. Lenny Dowhie, St. Philips

    • Lenny, obviously you don’t consider working at a job as part of “People’s lives”? If businesses don’t reopen, jobs are lost and people losing those jobs lives suffer. Taking personal responsibility with masks and social distancing is more American than the nanny-state governments controlling our lives. One needs only to look at New York and New Jersey.

      • I fear that our politicians hear the voices whispering in their ears, to wit:
“What threatens your re-election chances more–dead people or people angered by the sour economy? Remember that more angry people vote than dead people (usually)!”
