IS IT TRUE February 24, 2015

123

IS IT TRUE the first and foremost thoughts today at the City County Observer are with our owner and publisher Ron Cosby who is going to undergo surgery at 10:30 am in an effort to correct a very painful and threatening condition?…we would appreciate your good thoughts and prayers for a successful procedure?

IS IT TRUE quite frankly it would be a good tribute to Mr. Cosby, if every homeowner in Vanderburgh County would think fondly of him every time that property taxes are paid, as it was Ron Cosby in the early stages of the CCO who sprung the story of how former Mayor Weinzapfel, current Mayor Winnecke, and a host of other elected officials colluded behind closed doors to take away our Homestead Tax Credit?…as is typical with news that shines unfavorably on the fair haired tools of the machine, the mainstream local media waited until the CCO had broken the story to even bother to report it?…the same pattern is true for many of the SNEGAL stunts exposed first by the CCO over the last several years?

IS IT TRUE the State of Indiana has a slight uproar going on over it’s contemplation to eliminate the “common construction” wage laws that have dictated the wages of construction workers who are fortunate enough to be placed on public construction projects?…the reality of the impact of such a law is not likely as bad as it’s opponents are saying?…the federal government of the United States pioneered such laws in the early years of the Great Depression (1930’s) with a law known as the Davis-Bacon Act?…the Davis-Bacon Act is what sets the “prevailing” wage for construction projects that have federal money associated with them?…the State of Indiana is still subject to Davis-Bacon laws and all of the major cities in Indiana get federal money as part of their general fund, which will assure that prevailing wages are required for any public projects in those entitlement cities?…the law Indiana is contemplating may allow a small town to build a pole barn with local labor at a true market wage which is typically lower than the federal prevailing wage, but it will have no impact on projects like the Ford Center, Lucas Oil Stadium, or even the IU Medical School?…those kinds of projects in entitlement cities will still be required to pay federal prevailing wages which are often more than double what the market rate is for these skills?

IS IT TRUE the McCurdy Hotel once again on the tips of all of the political tongues with yet another promise to start construction in a couple of months?…this time the stumbling block is that the City of Evansville has a lien on the building for the $800,000 that the Weinzapfel Administration squandered on one of his campaign donors in Indianapolis who failed to deliver?…this lien is supposedly a stumbling block to signing a financing deal?…people who are closing deals on houses have to satisfy simultaneous release conditions on a regular basis and this deal should be no different?…if the Kunkel Group can really show loan approval for a set of plans that is sufficient to refurbish the McCurdy Hotel into luxury apartments and make it part of the closing documents, that should be sufficient?…this does not mean that the City of Evansville should release the lien on another promise?…the City is of course saying they need to keep the lien so they will not lose the $800,000?…that claim is absolute nonsense as the $800,000 and the $603,000 for the parking lot are ALREADY LOST?…the only variable is when the City has a moment of lucidity and admits that the Weinzapfel Administration squandered $1.403 Million taxpayer dollars on one of his campaign contributors who failed the people of Evansville?

IS IT TRUE the City of Evansville and it’s City Council scoffed at the financing mechanism called EB5 back in 2011 when there were several bids to build a new hotel in the works proposing to attract EB5 investors from China or India?…in their xenophobic zeal to avoid seeing wealthy foreigners come to Evansville with money to fund projects and hire people, our leaders started the chain of failures that has lead to an empty lot?…in the event that the McCurdy were turned back into a historic luxury hotel, EB5 funds could well have made that happen too?…this financing mechanism has been used to fund well over $200 Million of projects in the Greater Palm Springs area in the last 3 years and could well have done the same in Evansville?…it has brought many wealthy educated new citizens and their money with them?…we wonder if the members of the City Council and the former Mayor who rejected EB5 as a viable funding source think it has been worth it to sooth their xenophobic fears with an empty lot and a rotting old hotel?

IS IT TRUE the CCO is in possession of the Welborn Health Study that is a follow up to the one from 2008 that basically showed that the population of greater Evansville is too fat, smokes too much, abuses drugs and alcohol, and suffers from poor mental health?…this new study concludes that in spite of the 2008 call to action by Welborn, the tar and feathers of being called the most obese city in America, and a perennial bottom dweller on the Miserable Index, NOTHING HAS CHANGED?…that study and further examples of how Ron Cosby and the CCO have tried to effect positive change shall be the subject of more IIT paragraphs in the coming week?

  1. My wishes, and prayers go to Mr. Cosby this morning for a successful surgery and quick recovery.
    Sincerely, Crash LaRue

  2. Positive energy goes out for Ron’s successful surgery and full recovery.
Thank goodness … for the better days ahead. …

  3. IN OTHER NEWS
The City Council “suspended” its’ residency ordinance, last night, in order that a certain … non-city resident could serve on the Police Merit Commission.
    http://www.14news.com/story/28182004/evansville-ci

I will be glad when this “residency ordinance” distills out the pure water and we find who is left in the pan. He will be the impurity that Connie is and has been mad at … and why we’ve been going through all this in the first place. …

    • Appears a loop hole has been created after the same city council over rode the mayors veto.
SBR on Tristate Homepage is on record of saying that the mayor is not involved, and it is a
      administration suggestion!

Let’s drive that bus thru all “past” mayor appointments and have each board “administrated
suggestion”, with the mayors under the table approval to fill those appoint positions.

      • The police have always picked their representative. The wording of the ordinance required that it formally go through the Mayor. He had nothing to do with the selection. By removing him from the ordinance, it allowed the police to continue picking their representative. It has nothing to do with the political appointments that are targeted in the residency ordinance.

        • I absolutely do think the EPD officers should be able to pick a representative, and the good sense shown by the City Council is commendable.

        • I see some hypocritical positions here:

The advocates that you cannot serve on boards unless you live within the city limits…

WHO NOW applaud the City Council’s move last night and the appointment of this representative

…..look pretty foolish. And inconsistent. And certainly unable to cloak themselves in cries for fairness.

          They look more like this:
“Yes. We are all equal. But some of us are more equal than others.”

    • Why would you believe anything put out by Channel 14? If you watched the meeting, you would see that the only rules suspended were those of City Council voting procedure. They voted to hear the police merit change in one night instead of over two meetings. I’m told Brandon Bartlett was there. This article is ridiculously misleading and represents either his stupidity or just that he’s a biased ass.

      • I think the “journalist” in question is BOTH stupid and biased. I bet he’s entertaining dreams of being discovered by the network and taking Brian Williams’ place.

    • bubbageek:

It is easy for one to say that this action smacks of elitism. First you vote not to allow people who live outside the city limits to serve on appointed boards. Last night they they basically added: “except when we want them to”.

So, as things stand now, the original ordinance has been polluted to a point that whom ever has enough clout, or the council’s ear may serve. There is no other conclusion to draw from their action last night.

I would think that anyone who wished to challenge the decision would be standing on firm ground.

      • Damnit PAK, I go from totally disagreeing with you to 100% agreement with the above statement.

I’m gonna get whiplash if this keeps up

      • This reminds me of the City Councils smoking ordinance with the exception of the Casino. That was over thrown by the courts.

Does anyone see any difference between this exception and the other?

  4. Is it not true that there is already a stipulation that a threshold of a “x” dollars before prevailing wages happens?

A “towns pole barn” is already below that threshold. That has been around the past 12-15 years!

The claim of wages being over double is bogus as well.
Profit margins will be greater for the contractor at the expense of the workers.

Owensboro Hospital had large non-English speaking interior system crews from the South
East. They took their money and ran. It did not get reinvested into local economy.

    • If you look at the wording in the DBA the amount is $2,000.00. You can not understand the act unless you understand the time frame in which it was created, stock market crash and great depression. The country has moved on, but the act has been protected by Organized labor democrats, and those who wish to extend the influence of the federal government into the states and cities.

      • The pole barn mention would likely had no Federal monies so that $2,000 limit does not apply.
So without federal money, my above post is still correct with current laws with that pole barn.

          • PK, Todays IT mentions a small town pole barn. Why would they apply for
federal money to this project. They can build it with their funds, and my
original post is still correct. Besides, this site complains of Federal
government, this is a good example by not asking for a federal hand out
            on this project. Problem solved.

        • I used the storage building comparison just to compare apples to apples. It’s possible it wouldn’t fall under the guidelines. Now imagine a school and a private office building. That might be a better comparison. On the first note. By the time you get all the Fed & state agencies involved, (epa etc) they can turn an outhouse into a multi-million dollar project.

          • Problem is you did not compare apples! You led everyone here to believe
that a pole barn by a town, and a school/ office building in the city are on the same
playing field. There not. Been better off comparing federal taxes of a $35,000 wage
of a small town resident, and a multi-million corporation being on the same playing
            field.

As far as a Federal Outhouse, my grandfather had a WPA outhouse built on the
farm back in the 1930’s. And yes it is still around, buy has been decommission
            little over 10 years ago!

          • Arm, I don’t think i said anything about a pole barn. A storage building could be a fine brick structure with all kind of inside appointments.

—Take your pick or add more, The Embarrassing BAD JOKE– THEY ARE,– goes on and on.

  6. That $1.4 million would had went a long way on paying those couple dollar a hour more union construction
jobs. Will the city ask for that $400,000 “profit on paper work” back from that certain person collected? The “in crowd” are raping the coffers, while the grunts are getting their wages beaten down.

    • ” The “in crowd” are raping the coffers, while the grunts are getting their wages beaten down.”

It seems that’s the “new” American Way. This morning John Lewis and Elizabeth Warren announced a new initiative for prosperity for the middle class. I hope it isn’t too late to save the middle class, because without it America’s greatness is gone.

      • I’m currently struggling to maintain what I consider lower middleclass status. Me and my wife have this message to Warren and Lewis, please stop trying to help we can’t afford it. Both Warren and Lewis have lived at the public trough most of their lives. Warren did work as a waitress in her teenage years but since becoming hoax-a- honas she’s worked off affirmative actions programs, same as Obama.

    • –“While the grunts are getting their wages beaten down”
–With Obama being backed-up by the Democrat Senators in regards to his questionable executive action bringing some millions of Illegals in to the labor mix, I think it’s safe to say that Americans will continue to see the “Grunts” losing their work , and their wages being “beaten down”, and The “Big” boys won’t look off shore for cheap labor anymore,–it’s invading America,–Courtesy of “The working man’s Party”.
This State Republican move on prevailing wages is just a drop in the bucket, compared to the coming illegals tsunami.
PS. I have been a Union member for nearly 50yrs.

        • BB, Just keep spouting your LW yapping points and myths.
–Remember NAFTA and the “Giant sucking sound” of jobs going to Mexico–Courtesy Of Bill Clinton and Congress,– that made things better for America’s Domestic workforce didn’t it.
          Sure it did–Not.
Obama’s goal is to garner more Democrat Voters by bringing in the low-wage workers from another country, and after all, it’s cheaper for the “Big Boys”, they have no need to go to Mexico to locate their factories, so it’s a Win-Win for the Establishment.

    • Why not? Keeps the bidding process on even playing field. Creates management to be more efficient.

Why do we pay all of our legislators the same wage across the board? Why not pay a legislator from
a poor district less money and the legislator from a wealthy district much more?

Why do stockholders with a certain stock be all paid the same per stock? Why not pay by whatever
means so some get more over others?

When we go into a store, why do we all pay the same price for a item? Why can we not pay less because one is a republican or democrat?

There are things learned in the past, which helps us today.

      • How does it keep the bidding process on an even field?

When we go into a store and see something is overpriced we can go look elsewhere, or choose another brand

      • Why not? Keeps the bidding process on even playing field. Creates management to be more efficient.- How so?
When we go into a store, why do we all pay the same price for a item? Why can we not pay less because one is a republican or democrat?-When we go into a store and don’t like the price charged wee have the option of choosing a different brand or store

      • Arm, Without the prop the company with the most efficient workers and management will get it done for less. Win all around. I believe the idea of the set wage was started in the depression to put a floor under the wages. It has outlived it’s usefulness .

        • How is it a uneven playing field when the “known’s” are the same
wage rates, and the same prints/specs?

Being allowed to use $7.25 hr workers is the uneven playing field.
Wait, that’s a hated federal standard, maybe $2 workers be better?

      • No, it creates an uneven field. Why should the taxpayer be forced to pay a premium to the unions?

The rest of your response does relate to the issue.

    • Because we can’t count on employers to do the decent thing. It would seem that they’d be willing to pay for competent, well trained workers in order to produce a superior product, but that is the “old way.” The new way is to maximize profits, deliver a cheap product, and take the money and run.
All one needs to do is look at the quality and beauty of the Old Courthouse vs. the Civic Center Complex.

      • Good example, LKB. The beautiful “old” courthouse was built long before any prevailing wage laws. The new Civic Center Complex was built using the prevailing wage law.

        • That was before good sense and human decency had to be legislated. There was no need for a prevailing wage law because builders were out to produce a product they were proud of and they knew that they had to pay the most to get the best. Now they’re out to maximize profit, not the quality of their product.

          • I thought we couldn’t legislate morality? So every private building built by the free market is not up to the standards of a private commercial building?

We have building codes which regulate building standards, But it seems to me that the arena was allowed some variance in quality with the windows falling out.

          • Those glass windows were (designed) angled out to the maximum allowed
by code. This was the Architect decision for that esthetic look.

        • Wages had nothing to do with building materials used in those different construction
projects. The old court house was designed similar to all other for its time. Either the stone we have, of multi thickness of brick. The old post office is another building that stands out on it’s
own. The “Old World” craftsmanship that they brought with them from Europe is evidential.

The current civic center was design to the materials available for that time period. Poured concrete floors and block walls replaced the stone and old growth hardwoods floor systems.

Buildings today are not designed to last generations as in the past. The workers can not build something other what is on those prints!

      • I immediately thought of the scam painting job performed on the twin bridges. It’s no wonder gubmint gets a bad name for completing projects – – the much vaunted private sector is only too willing to screw taxpayers out of their money when it comes to those contracts.

        • Was there not some type of paint switch from which was originally spect. out?
That still had to approved by the state of Kentucky’s DOT, or which ever that
state department does that for them. There should had been inspectors checking
the sandblasting, the mils. of primer/paint being put on.

          • Arm, There was probably people paid to do the inspecting. Just didn’t do it. Have you heard of anyone being fired over it ?

          • There was mention of this issue thru media awhile back.
Don’t recall that a conclusion was ever rendered.
Don’t know if it was a reputable contractor, or a fly by
night who low-balled the system. There was a time
those type would roam the country side trying to talk you
into spray painting your barn roof. They would scat when
it would rain because their “paint” would not hold up to
            the rain.

    • Exactly, I.e.. And Ron Bacon voted against the bill to eliminate “prevailing wage”, which means when spending his own money (eg. building a new building for his business) he can hire whomever he wishes, but when spending taxpayer money government must hire companies paying “prevailing wages.”

    • Easy one. Because it brings in the federal government, and everyone knows that means mo money, mo money, mo money. Why do you think these buildings around here cost what they do to construct?

Now ask yourself how always picks up the tab for the construction. When contemplating these projects ALWAYS ask yourself two questions:

      #1. Who gets

      #2. Who pays

      • Owner/Architect do produce the prints that the contractor’s bid on. Owner/Architect
controls what bells and whistles that are used in that project. Architects usually are working on a percentage, of the total job.

It appears you have the hatred of the federal government, which is apparent of a libertarian.
Lucky we had that federal government 70-75 years ago. The west half of the country would be
under Japan control while the east half would be of my father land!

  7. I pray Ron’s success over his health issue is as great as the CCO’s success.

  8. Am wishing all the best for Ron to have a successful surgery and speedy recovery. I know he’ll fight for recovery the same way he has fought for this city. My best thoughts to him, Marilyn, and family.

    • Today they can do wonders with hips. I’ve met many people who have undergone partial and total hip replacements and are doing well today. If things work out he will be up the next day and starting rehab.

      • They are using a “least invasive” type of procedure. If all goes well, he’ll be back to himself pretty quickly.

  9. Very interesting how real leadership of Jordan and Egypt looks against ISIS (radical Islamic terrorists):

    • I believe you have covered everything he ever brings to the table, but you’re a little light on the hatred sauce.

He might be late, but he’ll be here with extra.

    • I suppose the thing that saddens me most about Ghost is his atheism. I can not imagine what it would be like to go through life without ever facing a moral challenge.

      • A moral challenge? Atheists are inherently amoral? Does it follow that theists are inherently moral? Cause I think I can come up with some examples…

        • I think we both know about human shortcomings. And I think we both know about them for a reason. We were instructed in them and given a plan, however difficult it is to obtain, by which to avoid those shortcomings.

Ghost seems to prefer his plan, whatever that may entail, and he seems to take great delight in deriding Christianity. He has not offered up his plan for consideration by those he attacks. If it is a better plan, I am all ears.

      • Speaking of which: if you have not seen [Monumental: In search of America’s national treasure] by Kirk Cameron, released 3-27-2012, you need to do so.

      • Surely you know better than that, PAK. I really find it hard to believe one can be so well-informed on so many things and so abjectly ignorant on others.

        • That’s so true….seriously, Kirk Cameron? (I have watched and listened to the apocalyptic KC, and I believe he is deranged. Mentally unstable.)

Anyone not agreeing with PAK has no morals? Or correct that, anyone who isn’t a member is PAK’s church has no morals?

When PAK writes, everyone here knows where it is coming from…..

It’s about “thiiiis far” from the point where PAK will say Hebrews who don’t believe Jesus was the messiah….are atheists because their faith doesn’t believe Jesus is God.

          • And the Jews killed Hesus… their “Savior” so therefore they should be killed to..

Except if they Jews had not betrayed/Killed Hesus then there would not have been scapegoat Hesus to throw the sins of the tribe….. err I mean the world onto.

Sick ain’t it, expecting someone to be crucified for you “sins” whatever the F those are.

Anyway since don’t believe in Jesus they of course need a “final solution”
And the arabs don’t believe in Hesus either they need a solution too.
And since there are Islamic terrorists we need to turn all of Arabia to glass sort of a nuclear age final solution
Then there are the Asians the Christians would them converted to Christianity… or else
Then the Hispanics, the “lower” Christians something would have to be done about them.
Then the homos and the lesbos
Then blacks the Christians know all about them wink wink nod nod
Then of course the Catholics, they don’t do the medieval rituals correct as they just sprinkle instead of dunking and that of course isn’t the correct superstition.
Then all the Europeans they’re a bunch of socialist commie pinkos sucking on our military tit, something would have to be done about them
Then the atheists, oh the atheists something would definitely have to be done with them.

Then of course the master race, the perfect creation of Dog himself.
THE WHITE MALE CHRISTIAN… all hail the mighty conservative WASP!

  11. Hope nothing but the best for Ron. Can’t begin to thank you enough for CCO and how you’ve used it to expose local politicians and their sneaky antics, like the homestead exemption theft. Hope you pull through and comeback with renewed energy and fire. You’re a local treasure.

  12. population of greater Evansville is too fat, smokes too much, abuses drugs and alcohol, and suffers from poor mental health?… most obese city in America, and a perennial bottom dweller on the Miserable Index, highest suicide rate of any county in Indiana…..

What is the root cause of these things ?

I do not think it is purely economic.

I think it relates to the social dogma of the town, harassing a-holes, snob cliques, corruption, ignorant a-holes, oppressive good ol’ boy networking in its employers, a pecking order where some people get away with a startling amount more than others because of who the are connected to, or suck up to, that can make people feel demeaned, cheated; oppressed, lied to, cynical, etc..

    Get Well Soon, Mr. Cosby

    • However, I would say the Evansville, is not a particularly high-wage city rich with living-wage paying jobs, and there are always consequences for jobs losses upon families and individuals. Evansville also appears to have a long term trend of Employers which would pay a living wage leaving the area.

      • Of course, with the future completion of the Medical School, Convention, Hotel, and already-completed Ford Center, new employers impressed with the new sophistication of the town and forced re-vitalization of its downtown area will flock to Evansville in droves.

However, the Mayor may need to move a few of Evansville’s already existing attractions like the Fall Festival, Mesker Zoo, and Budette Parke to the downtown area to get people to visit it.

        • He’s already sited himself there, I don’t know how much better it can get. What a guy. They’ll come from miles around. It’s already started. Sort of like the overnight campers roughing it on a parking lot waiting for the new XBox or whatever. Once Ticketmaster wakes up to what a revenue stream he can be they’ll segment his day into blocks suitable for paid viewing. The super premium spots like ‘Watch Lloyd Think’ will be cost prohibitive for most of us so we’ll just have to wait ’til he tries to foist his latest great idea on us to see just what that wily ole accidental mayor was thinking about.
          ⩶ ⩶ ⩶
Hope Ron has a speedy recovery and uneventful rehab.

          • Will the thinking sessions take place at the Civic Center or in a well-appointed bathroom at Meridian Plaza? Maybe they can get sponsorships from Charmin, ex-Lax, and of course the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility.

          • Fleets has put in a bid for the very productive toilet sessions. His Chief-O-Squeeze is tutoring Hizz on self-administration. When he bares those lower teeth it means he’s either hit paydirt or, heaven forfend, thought again.

          • Well you two are about as close as anybody is in explaining how that places local political assholes, bail out their crony politicos, whom. they suckered in……. the first place. Unbelievable streaming BS from that place as seen from afar.

“What’s in your driveway” besides a CSO tracked elemental chromatic imaged from your terrible downtown zombie sewer system? Yuck! BTW: you can see that stuff in the wheel wells as well. So the garages also.

And those fools what to build a medical school campus square in the middle of the damned scorned nasty mess. But only to somehow bail the “O” cronies out due too “due’s.”
            What a mess.

            http://www.14news.com/story/28190366/land-cleared-for-new-d-patrick-dealership

  13. Good luck and speedy recovery to Mr. Ron Cosby. Thank you for your service to the community and continued vigilance and especially for outing the rats who tried to steal the Homestead Tax Credit from local homeowners. That opened the sleepy eyes of many local citizens to the corruption and shady deals of local politicians of both political stripes.

  14. Here’s a brief excerpt from 25/7WallSt.com, which tells us why they rank Indiana as #9 among states with the most rapidly dying middle class. That is likely one more reason why Mike Pence will never occupy a higher political office than he now has.

    “9. Indiana
    > Middle income growth 2009-2013: -4.4%
    > Fifth quintile income growth 2009-2013: 2.6%
    > Fifth quintile share of income: 49.0%
    > Middle class household income: $47,680 (17th lowest)

Middle class households in Indiana had an average income of $47,680 in 2013, down 4.4% from 2009. As in most of the nation, even as the income of middle class households declined, the income among Indiana’s highest earners grew. Yet, just 2.6% of households earned more than $200,000 in 2013, roughly half the comparable national figure. While wealthy Indiana residents had among the lower incomes compared to their nationwide peers, average incomes in the highest quintile grew by more than 2.5% between 2009 and 2013, one of the faster growth rates. As a result, the state’s Gini coefficient, a measure of income inequality, worsened at a faster pace than in most states over that time, moving to the fourth highest nationwide in 2013.”

  15. CAN ANYONE TELL ME:

Why is the entire year of 2009 ERC Meeting Agendas & Minutes MISSING from their online portal ? That is really odd, since all of the Downtown Arena discussion occurred during this year. What a coincidence ???

  16. There were a number of us that had a spirited (is there any other type on the CCO?) discussion recently about police and “body cams”. This recent article is very enlightening for anyone with a little tech knowledge.

Of course, since the sentence has the word “knowledge” in it I know that automatically precludes 1 countryboy (sorry, could not resist)

    • Interesting article. It did not say how many terabytes of data are produced. ” City officials estimated costs up to $2.6 million a year for storage and the extra staff needed to manage the video data.” A four terabyte portable hard drive will hold hundreds of hours of video and costs about $100 in bulk. They are about the size of a book or smaller.

    • You mean those Egyptian jets we gave to the Muslim Brotherhood??

      Those jets?

Turn the Middle East to sand correct? The final solution!!

      • Benton, Obama suspended military aid to Egypt after the Egyptian military removed the Muslim Brotherhood from power and declared it a terrorist organization. Since that time, some American military aid has been restored to Egypt. The Egyptians are now diversifying their military spending on French fighter jets and a Russian nuclear plant (yep, what could go wrong with that) so Egypt can’t be leveraged by Obama. These developments in the middle east are so important that all Americans should keep up on the news and facts.

        • Look JB you are wrong on this . Sit back and watch it work. Game plans are that way you know. Cut the crap, that in itself is purely un-American . This is a complex situation “everybody knows that. ” So cut the BS, that stuff can costs lives, and its just straight political conjecture, and you know it! That’s the stuff that feeds the advisories you gosh darned idiot. Its apparent you’ve never stood the line, or flown it , please for Christ’s sake STHU. People are involved, So.

          • Veeee. I used to wonder why you continually linked to those inane cartoons. After seeing your answer to Joe Biden, It’s obvious why.

          • All RWer’s understand is black and white, good or evil. Introduce, nuance, diplomacy, complexity, etc they become Vinny Barbarino…..

            I’m so confused!

      • Brains? What Muslim Brotherhood? Obama said the protests taking place during the “Arab Spring” did not involve the Muslim Brotherhood. Of course, informed people knew then that was just another Obama lie. It seems as though now, even you now know it was a lie.

  17. I see both the Federal legislative, and executive branch has exercised their powers on the Keystone XP.The legislative has one more play if they choose.

I see there is not enough votes for Sunday sale of alcohol.

    • Another revenue busting dumbass thing Indiana does well. Dude that revenue stream is available and willing so what’s the beef? What’s one day verses another by law? Nothing whatsoever. So. Stupid fools its your loss.

        • You really don’t want to mess with the consortium, we really have little valuation in southwestern Indiana , but then in the last recorded actualities who really does? Load of cronies political hanging on’ers, yep! And that is pitiful as well.
To bad you all have a pathway abstraction , but those locals and their elected just cannot see it for now. Well they will, and we will absolutely promise that.

Your Sported the actual valuation per GPS point of contact………. Hah, hah, hah. Ahahha aaaaaaaaa’,ah , ah ah, aahhahahhahhaha!!!!!!! Its
Junk infrastructure and isn’t worth squat on todays open market.

    • He told the whopper about how he was wanted in pro football, too. He said he was the “best punter in the nation.” The problem is that the college he went to didn’t have a football program.

      • What about the cameraman who was bleeding from his ear?

You would think if someone potentially saved your life you would be grateful enough to step forward and defend your savior. So far? Zipppity do dah

      • LKB, You and Move On without Org aren’t making a dent. You need to come up with something else.

        • Amazing, isn’t it Cowboy, how dems know everything about Bill O’Reilly’s past, Sarah Palin’s past, Romney’s past; and absolutely nothing about Barack H Obama’s past.
The rest of us know one thing for sure about his present. He lies. Daily.

          • Which Obama? The faux strawman Obama you clowns construct each day or the real live human Obama?

Bill O’Reilly is a grifter who found a soft place to land. At Fox – He’s so lazy and coasts thru his rant filled shows, is valued as some sort of wise old sage by conners.

He’s not. He’s a tabloid loud mouth who puts his name on books other people write. His interviews are scripted and pre-recorded. He never made it as a journalist past the middle tier…. until he hosted the shady Inside Edition show which led, inevitably, to the Kardashian network of news- Fox. Of course his background is riddled with crazy self promotion and “embellishments” that’s who he is.

But, hey, he plays wise old sage for his audience – and they love every minute of his phony war on Christmas etc.

Of course, they loved George W. Bush as a cowboy. Just don’t tell them that George W. bought that ranch when it was decided he would run for President – and he sold that ranch when his term was over. Conservatives are easy to fool – but hey don’t all they love the make believe junk?
