Indiana State Police Hiring Professional Staff in Fort Wayne

(Fort Wayne, IN) – The Indiana State Police is currently accepting applications for two professional staffing positions here in Fort Wayne.  The Fort Wayne Regional Laboratory (FWRL) is seeking to hire a Laboratory Manager, and the Fort Wayne Regional Dispatch Center is seeking to hire a Regional Dispatcher.

Forensic Scientist EVII- Laboratory Manager (Vacancy# 2023113):

Successful applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a natural science, forensic science, or management. Three (3) years full time experience in crime scene investigation, a forensic discipline, polygraph examination, or management. General knowledge of each forensic discipline. Must have the ability to comprehend the rules of evidence. Must have the ability to manage and adhere to established laboratory safety practices. Salary for this position starts at $75,010.00 per year. *Starting salary may be adjusted for education, experience, and training. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans and accrued time off.

Regional Dispatcher  (Vacancy# 2023112)

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required as well as the ability to be seated in a confined area for extended periods of time. Two years of public safety communications experience is preferred, but not required. (Full list of requirements can be found online when applying.)
