 On July 18 the Evansville Police Department was called to 6000 E. Morgan Ave. to Hopf Equipment in reference to a theft of an excavator. The reporter believes the theft occurred on July 15 around 8:30 p.m. The excavator was parked on the front lot near the entrance.
  The businesses video shows a male walk up to the excavator and drive it off the lot. Video belonging to a business that was located close to Hopf Equipment captures the excavator being loaded on a trailer and driven away. The vehicle is believed to be a light colored, older model Chevy Tahoe.Â
