  1. I think I will submit some bids as a minority contractor for some of the local government/taxpayer financed “improvement” projects here in Evansville because I feel like I am a black woman today. Anybody have a problem with that?

    • ARGGGGHHHH!!!! I would submit that guy(?)’s picture as the definition of ignorance.

  2. I disagree with the outcome of the Police Merit Commission proceedings yesterday.

According to the C&P, the primary defense was that a Lieutenant was skipped over in administering the discipline. So in other words . . . the Lieutenant would have been able to convince his boss (Chief of Police) of leniency on these officers ?

Not a fan of Chief Bolin, but even he doesn’t deserve to be emasculated like this . . .

    • “According to the C&P, the primary defense was that a Lieutenant was skipped over in administering the discipline.”

I watched quite a bit of the hearings, and if that is the Courier’s take on the matter, I disagree. The primary defense for each officer seemed to be that there was simply no proof that the officers were guilty of the accusations leveled by the administration.

Example: Chief Bolin repeatedly asserted that the level of force used against Mr. Healy was ‘brutal’ and ‘excessive’, when there was simply no physical or video proof that was the case. Mr. Healy was examined post arrest (at the involved officer’s request) for injuries at a local ER, and his only injury appeared to be a very minor split lip, which he got when the arresting officer hit him with an elbow as he yanked his hand away from the needle that just stuck him (and I believe the arresting officer admitted throughout the entire process that he did this). A person subjected to the level of ‘brutal’ or ‘excessive’ physical force which Bolin imagined had been applied to Healy (grinding his face into the gravel, kicking him) would simply not be completely unblemished. Furthermore, Mr. Healy’s only health complaint throughout the incident (from initial stop to time of booking) was that he thought he was going to get sick unless he got some more drugs into his system (withdrawal symptoms), not any complaint of physical injury.

Anyway, there were numerous examples of Chief Bolin asserting things he couldn’t ultimately couldn’t prove. The skipping of the Lt. in the discipline process was presented by the defense as an example of how Chief Bolin had intentionally left people who might disagree with his decision out of the loop.

It made for interesting TV. I only wish that the City administration had put 10% of the time and resources into researching employee health insurance options that they did in trying to get these officers fired…

      • It is obvious from the video that Henderson deliberately elbowed Healey in the mouth while he was in handcuffs and compliant. He did so when he stuck himself on Healy’s needle and blamed him for it before going ballistic and assaulting Healy. He obviously lied about this and numerous other details in account and it was deliberately covered up by Sargent Kassel and any rational person could see that. Bolin needed to intercede because the lower chain of command would have just covered for one another.
You disgust me, just as the leadership of Evansville who allowed this disgusts me and I dare say the majority population of the citizens of Evansville and the U.S. The fact that these men went unpunished is insane. You are filth for trying to cover up for them on this forum. I hope that community finds way to rebel against such outrageous conduct and government.

The CCO is a worthless blog if they don’t allow this comment to be posted.

  3. It’s time to end political correctness and define illegal aliens as what they are, illegal aliens. Those entering our country illegally are in no way immigrants.
To add insult to injury Mexico issues short term visas to those crossing Mexico to illegally enter our country, but have their knickers in a twist because we are threatening to send them back to Mexico. In other words, they want them here but they don’t want them there.
Also, Obama ordered all Cuban’s arriving on US soil deported back to Cuba (unless they sneak in by crossing the Border with Mexico, in which case they can stay) without a peep from the Fake News media.

    • “It’s time to end political correctness and define illegal aliens as what they are, illegal aliens. Those entering our country illegally are in no way immigrants.”

Concur. I’m not sure how the desire to stem ILLEGAL immigration has somehow been twisted into the allegation that a person (or administration) is anti immigration overall. I don’t know a single person, no matter how conservative, who is against people immigrating to the United States through proper channels.

      • ” I don’t know a single person, no matter how conservative, who is against people immigrating to the United States through proper channels.”

Not a single person, eh ? No wonder you are a stupid, arrogant, spoiled cop.

        • delta is not a cop…..delta cant be arrogant cause he post stupid comments……..delta just has zero reading comprehension skills……….delta is the typical evansville flunky that relies on who you know to get their gubmint pay check……………..

  4. The situation with the officers and chief Bolin. I can think of one word to describe it.OVERREACTION!!! The bad guy screaming on tape overeaction. The officer that got poke by needle? I would punch the guy also. The other officers on scene should have jumped in and taken over. I think that would helped the situation. I pray for the officer that was poked by syringe. Chief Bolin wants them Fired?!!! Definate OVERREACTION. Merit Commission showed after hearing that they were voice of reason. I realize the chief job is a full time headache and I will pray for him. Good luck to officers I hope your careers don’t take nose dive because of this incident.
