  1. I see the C&P has an article about the local Democrats’ own poster felon, Linda Durham. Remember when they fought tooth and nail to have her seated because she couldn’t get bonded? In reality, when she won the election over such a public servant as Jim Price, everyone knew the local political parties were failing. And they haven’t gotten any better since, have they? Evansville just has one political group now, the Downtown Republicrats.

  2. Ouch! The hazards of electing a reality-TV star and handing him the United States top office….are coming home to roost. (Note to the Trump-whiners. You HATE it when it gets pointed out Trump is a yellow-haired poser President. HATE it. Sorry, your problem? It isn’t that someone points that out. It’s Trump. He’s a disaster so far.)

THIS is the latest assessment from a long-time conservative Reagan Republican:

“Good news: In two years, we’ll have a new president. Bad news: If we make it that long.
My “good” prediction is based on the Law of the Pendulum. Enough Americans, including most independent voters, will be so ready to shed Donald Trump and his little shop of horrors that the 2018 midterm elections are all but certain to be a landslide — no, make that a mudslide — sweep of the House and Senate. If Republicans took both houses in a groundswell of the people’s rejection of Obamacare, Democrats will take them back in a tsunami of protest.

Once ensconced, it would take a Democratic majority approximately 30 seconds to begin impeachment proceedings selecting from an accumulating pile of lies, overreach and just plain sloppiness. That is, assuming Trump hasn’t already been shown the exit by the Republican Party before then.”

    • PRESSANYKEY:
Not just the left. Trump is causing the Right to lose its mind too!
Trump’s problem isn’t his policies, or even his SCOTUS pick (who appears to be a good judge).

Trump’s problem Press…..is he is INEPT.
      He’s a bad President.
      Doesn’t know what he’s doing. It’s mistake after mistake….
      What a horrible job.

      Everything is READY, FIRE…..then AIM.
Classic example is Trump has to re-write the immigration executive order. REWRITE IT!
“Ready, FIRE!!!!……oh wait, let’s AIM now.”
Trump is inept. Sorry. You voted for a reality-TV star Press.

President Jeb Bush? President John Kasich? Even McCain……ALL would’ve never started like this catastrophe.
It’s not the policies. The guy is a clown. HE IS DRIVING THE RIGHT NUTS!
      He’s inept.

      • Not Trump’s fault Becker, it’s that pesky piece of paper he has to contend with;

        http://links.newyorker.mkt4334.com/ctt?kn=2&ms=MTA0MDcwNTQS1&r=MTMzMTgzNzU1NDM4S0&b=0&j=MTEwMDgzODgxNQS2&mt=1&rt=0

If the Constitution would have had a Tenth and Twelfth Article like Trump claimed it had, he wouldn’t be having these problems.

Being the first American President to have never read the Constitution probably isn’t helping but like Goldilocks said, “I don’t read books”.

Like tax returns, not required for position being sought….

        • That’s funny. (And correct.)

          “Ready? FIRE!”
BANG! (exec order that means shit).
BANG! (another EO that means nothing)
“Aren’t we supposed to aim this thing before we fire?”
          “Just fire, dammit! Keep firing!!”
“But Boss, we ain’t hitting anything, and we look like damn fools.”
          “Just keep firing….”

Trump is proving he is inept. He is Putin’s Poodle.
Kasich, Walker, Jeb would be coasting knowing they have GOP majorities in both Houses….but no. Trump is a Reality TV star.

    • Mr. Press ..as it seems, it will be never ending concerning the election of Trump. Like it or not, he is here for at least four years. The democrats have nobody to blame accept for themselves. They ran a candidate flawed from the beginning. One of the worst campaigns ever assembled. Her assumption was WI, MI, and PA had no other choice but to vote for her. She says that she NEVER supported NAFTA but evidently, Trump rolled the video where she stated that NAFTA was a great thing. Did the same concerning the TTP while people like those who used to work at the ALCOA plant, those 600 now drawing unemployment. I remember distinctly Ross Pergot’s comments, “can you here that sucking sound coming from the south” in reference to Mexico. Apparently, the Hubert Humphrey’s of the Democrat party have long been deceased. We have more important things to deal with like transgender bathrooms and the like!

      • Actually the Democrats ran someone a thousand times more qualified than the person who defeated her. And when something extraordinary like that happens, common sense would tell a rational person you have to pay a price for that.

But I digress. You mentioned Alcoa. Now I’m not saying I blame Trump for this but I just want to ask you why he doesn’t bring his products back here to be produced before he expects others to?

Why does he belittle others for doing THIS when he does it himself?

“Another recent Trump building that has used metal from China is Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago, which opened in 2009. For that project, Trump obtained loans from Deutsche Bank and three hedge funds that in turn used financing from George Soros, the business magnate who is the subject of many conservative conspiracy theories and is portrayed as a threat to the Republican Party.

The building required tons of aluminum and Trump elected not to purchase the metal from Alcoa or any other similar American producer, but instead turn to a subsidiary of a Chinese aluminum manufacturer. Because American businesses have been turning to cheaper aluminum from overseas, the industry is collapsing. For example, in just the last two years, more than half of the country’s aluminum smelters in states like Ohio, West Virginia and Texas have closed as a result of being undercut on price by competition from overseas.”

I’m not saying you are wrong wolves, I’m just saying I wish this whiny ass bitch would lead by example.

        How about you?….

    • You didn’t know?

RUSSIA was informed of the raid by Trump operatives, and PUTIN tipped off the Al Queada commander who escaped the operation.

  3. Stone City Grill? Quarry Bar? Once again, how is this a tie-in to Evansville, the River City, the Crescent City, even the Stoplight City?
Where did Hilton DoubkeTree come up with those names? Were they influenced by Mulzer?

    • Hey, that is exactly what I want to here. Let’s get Stoned at the Stoned City Bar and Grill…yeppy!!!

  4. Evidently they wanted to make the IU Staff transplants feel like they were at their favorite watering hole at home.

  5. Hey, folks. Who was it that stated “all politics is local”? In general, the national political scene does not necessarily effect our daily lives here in Evansville. We are faced with higher utilities bills, higher property taxes, higher local option income taxes, bad streets and bad schools, failing local infrastructure.

We have out of control local spending. Stupid local political pork barrel projects. Now we have a Evansville City Councilman charged with alleged criminal act of validating a Protective Order against one of his ex-wives. Why is it that this sort of behavior was allowed to be coverup over the last several years?

Also why is it that the son-in-law of former Mayoral candidate Gail Riecken, Joseph Langerak was representing Councilman Jonathan Weaver while he was openly working against Mrs.Riecken for Mayor?? I would also like to know why the Judge allowed two Protective Orders concerning Mr. Weaver to be sealed by the court?

I now hear that former Evansville City Council attorney Scott Dank is now representing this rude dude Weaver. Everybody in the political know that Councilman Weaver was instrumental in removing Danks as the City Council attorney.

Oh, I also hear that Mr. Weaver was married three (3) times and not twice (2) as reported by the media.

How crazy can all of this be?
