Fall Move-In Set For August 17-18 And Inaugural Pride & Spirit Event Happening August 19
WHO:
- Fall Move In - USI students and their families and USI Housing and Residence Life employees
- Pride & Spirit Event – USI incoming freshmen and USI student-athletes
WHAT:
- Fall Move-In -Â USI students will be moving into campus housing for the Fall Semester.
- Pride & Spirit Event – The incoming Class of 2026 will be introduced to USI athletic teams and administrators and will engage in USI spirit-related activities.
WHEN:
- Fall Move-In - The best time to get coverage will be from 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 17. This will be the biggest move-in day.
- Pride & Spirit Event – The event will be from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The best time to get coverage would be from 11:40 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
WHERE:
- Fall Move-In - Media should meet in Lot B where students will check-in, and someone will be there to meet you. If you plan on covering Fall Move-In, please email kajohnson5@usi.edu and RSVP with your anticipated time/day for coverage.

*Note: Media are not allowed in residence halls and apartments without an escort.
- Pride & Spirit Event – Media should meet in the Screaming Eagles Arena lobby (enter next to the USI Ticket Office window). Once in the Arena, John Farless, Director of University Communications, will be there to direct you to a spot on the Screaming Eagles Arena court.
