EVSC Schools to Participate in National Walk to School Day Wednesday, October 4

Several EVSC schools will participate in National Walk to School Day tomorrow with organized walks to school. 
 
  • Highland: Students will meet at the Lloyd Pool/Ingelhart parking lot at 7:30 a.m. Students from the University of Evansville will accompany Highland students on their walk. The group is scheduled to begin their walk to school around 7:45 a.m.
  • Dexter students will meet at Lorraine Park at 7:15 a.m. and as a group will walk to Dexter.
  • Stockwell students will meet at the corner of Spring Valley and Green River Road in the former Integra bank parking lot at 7 a.m.
  • Caze students will have the option of meeting at two locations – either at the entrance of Grand Oak Apartments (5010 Cass Avenue) or Vann Park Apartments (3305 Pollack Avenue). Both groups will meet around 7:30 a.m.
  • Fairlawn Elementary School students will meet at the Dollar General Store at the intersection of Pollack and Weinbach at 7:15 a.m.
 
National Walk to School Day is organized by the National Center for Safe Routes to School. The purpose is to empower communities to make walking and bicycling to school a safe, appealing and preferred choice for families.Â
