Last night at approximately 11:45, Trooper Widner was patrolling in the area of US 41 near Lincoln Avenue when he stopped the driver of a 2006 Chevrolet Impala for making an unsafe lane movement. The driver was identified as Berardo Davila, 31, of Evansville. Davila was also transporting his 5, 10 and 11 year-old children. Further investigation determined Davila was impaired and under the influence of alcohol, but he refused to submit to a chemical test. Davila was arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he is currently being held without bond. All three children were released to their mother.
