Evansville Man Arrested for DUI while Transporting his Two-Year-Old Child

Vanderburgh County – Yesterday afternoon at approximately 1:20, Christopher Fowler, 26, of Evansville, was stopped for driving erratic near North Governor and East Columbia. Further investigation revealed Fowler was intoxicated and had a blood alcohol content of .14%. Fowler’s two-year-old daughter was also in the vehicle. He was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he is currently being held without bond. The two-year-old was released to her mother.

Christopher Fowler, 26, Evansville, IN

  • Driving While Intoxicated with a Passenger less than 18 years of age, Class 6 Felony
  • Neglect of a Dependent, Class 6 Felony
  • Driving While Intoxicated, Class A Misdemeanor

  1. Congratulations Trooper Rafferty for making our streets just a little bit safer. Unfortunately, the courts as they are, will probably knock those class 6 felonies down to misdemeanors and this fellow will walk with a slap on the wrist. Plea bargaining and the denial of swift jury trials has ruined the criminal justice system. It jeopardizes the rights of the truly innocent and allows hardened criminals to walk the streets.
