On October 31, 2019, the Evansville African American Museum will host a Prohibition Party at its location on 579 S. Garvin Street from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM.

This year’s celebration encourages wearing Halloween costumes and will feature live music, specialty drinks, and hors d’oeuvres. All proceeds from the $20 entry fee will be used to maintain and expand exhibits and offerings of the museum through significant programs, workshops, lectures and other educational services that facilitate awareness and understanding of African American history and culture in the Evansville community.

The mission of the Evansville African American Museum is to continually develop a resource and cultural center to collect, preserve and educate the public on the history and traditions of African American families, organizations and communities.
