EPD makes two arrests in November 21st shooting

Evansville Police have arrested two people in connection with the November 21st shooting that injured a 15 year old.
The shooting happened during a drug deal in the area of Englewood and Jackson around 1:00pm. The 15 year old victim was shot in the face. An adult relative who was present at the scene drove the victim to a local hospital for treatment. The victim is expected to survive.
During the investigation, police determined that Kenneth Fitzgerald drove the 15 year old to the scene with the intent on selling marijuana to two people.
During the drug deal, KYAVION BROWN (16) and TERRY ADAMS Jr (18) tried to rob Fitzgerald and the teen. During the robbery, BROWN shot the teen in the face.
BROWN and ADAMS fled the scene, but were located by members of the EPD VIPER Unit on Monday night. Both were taken into custody without incident. ADAMS was in possession of a handgun when he was taken into custody.
BROWN and ADAMS are both ch arged with Attempted Murder and Armed Robbery in the November 21st incident. BROWN has been charged as an adult.
ADAMS is also charged with Possession of a Handgun without a Permit following his Monday night arrest.
Fitzgerald was arrested and charged with Neglect of a Dependent Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury and Dealing Marijuana.
