    Seems to me that the real question is not: “Did Rick Davis conspire to have this repeat offender taken off the streets?”

    It is: “What favors were called in and by whom to allow him to continue despite repeated bench warrants for the same offense?”

  3. I was picking up food at the next boot when an EPD officer picked him up. As if we didn’t have enough division already. Not to mention he hurt Stephanie Brinkeroff-Riley’s campaign, he was her manager!

    • What food booth were you at when you saw this? The last booth going towards the parade was at Wabash and Franklin. The contact with Jarvis happened at Franklin and Fulton. So either you were able to see what was going on from several blocks away or your statement is not credible. Which is it?

  4. Great unedited info CCO. Keep up the good work. It’s amazing Mr. Jarvis worked at the Democratic headquarters given all of these bench warrants issued for his arrest.

    • Mark Owen must have hired the Mayor’s friends on the Evansville Redevelopment Commission to vet Mr. Jarvis.

  5. Am I reading this correctly? Mr. Jarvis was in Court on 2/15/11 on two bench warrants for his arrest, first one issued 12/6/08 and a second one issued 12/29/09. New charges were filed against him the day before, 2/14/11, for again (3rd time) operating a vehicle with out valid license. Why wasn’t he arrested on 2/14/11 or was he? Can’t tell, maybe a laywer or LEO could read and explain. Mr. Jarvis 3rd bench warrant for his arrest was issued 4/26/11 and he was finally arrested on 10/10/11.

    • I’d say the stars & planets were in perfect alignment for EPD to have nabbed such a wanton criminal without the help of the FBI, CIA or the NSA, I’ll bet they had him under surveillance for weeks waiting to pounce!…or somebody dropped a dime on him. 😉

      Either way it was highly orchestrated for the visual effect only (shock value) or he would have been led off to jail and forced to make bail.

      I did hear through the grape vine that while he was being cuffed and stuffed that the cell phones were flying out and calls were being made…but to who is the question.

    • It looks to me like he was arrested and posted bail on 2/14/2011. Then pleaded on 2/15/2011; fines paid and bail released.

  7. This is a downright shame for the Democratic party. But then again, with all the handouts we give out, look who we got for our Political Director. Who do the Republicans have in Jarvis’s position?

    • You have been proven to be a poster with no credibility. (See the response to your above post for the facts.) Are you one of the MACHINE poster people who have no goal in life but to maintain your shrinking empire?

      • No, I am a socially conservative Democrat who over the past ten or so years feels like the party has taken us in a direction where we as a voter get to make less and less of an impact. I am frustrated with our choice in several of our candidates but overall just frustrated with the party. I came from a conservative Republican family and became conservative Democrat. As the party’s platform has changed, I have drifted on a split ticket for the past few elections.

        As far as credibility is concerned, there was an EPD officer at the booth and did walk away with two people, one by the elbow, no cuffs (never stated there was cuffs). Could have been asking them where Jarvis was.

        Don’t be so quick to judge, by the sounds of it you are just another self-centered “Davis-ite” being so quick to alienate those who have given (monetarily and time-wise) to Rick despite what he did to Jonathan.

          • If you were a partner in a firm and a young guy comes up to you and asks you to retire because he is going to take your spot; what would you say?

            I know quite a few folks don’t believe in etiquette nowadays when it comes to politics, but we had honor back in the day, even if we played dirty. You didn’t just ask the mayor to step down, you would have consulted with him and whoever the chairman of the party was first.

            If I had screwed up royally, gotten the firm in ethics trouble, spend money we didn’t have on grandiose projects with no input, and screwed over countless other young attorneys by anointing an incompetent boob as my successor…well, I guess I’d do what Jonathan did.

        • You put in your post that you SAW Jarvis get detained. I called you out for not telling the truth. If you were not sure who the police were talking to, then you should not have put that you saw Jarvis get detained. The “might have been asking them where Jarvis was” is a failed attempt to cover up your false statement.
          You can call me whatever you want, but TRUTH IS- your post said one thing, you were called out on it, and now you say something else.

    • I’m not sure if it’s the same title for the republicans, but I think the person that performs essentially the same duties is a college kid at UE.

  8. The elitist in Evansville both Republican and Democrat have cut deals with each other for more that 50 years. They are mainly rich white men. It’s like the Captains and the Kings who sit together and decide who will run. The winners? The banks, and Vectren, whose CEO’s and their pretty wives show up in the “Around Town” Section of the Courier.
    First, let’s start with the local Vanderburgh County Democrat Party. How many women or blacks has this party really mentored up? Few because they have to kiss the rings, of the white guys….Curt John, Mark Owens, David Mosby and Steve Melcher. They do have Connie Robinson, who is qualified and smart. But please ask her way she has not ensured that the vacant houses in the 4th ward have not been eradicated. She has a voice in the 4th ward, but accepts scraps from the white men who sit next to her on the council.
    Why did the GOP not run anyone against her? Because rich black people, like Harold Calloway, a fine person and member of the GOP don’t live in her ward!
    Owens and his followers have used the EPD and their connections in the court system for years. Ask Connor O’Daniel how much he was paid to represent charged members of his party for voting fraud.
    And Stephanie Brinkerhoff-Riley needs to ask that party why they support her now. They used to call her the Jeannie C. Riley of the Harper Valley PTA! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOZPBUu7Fro

    O’Daniel and Brinkerhoff-Riley said they had never seen the party in this bad shape, yet they have done nothing to heal it. The only thing in the middle of the road is road kill.

    Now on the Republican side: You have to kiss the rings of the girls. There is Bettye Lou, Carol, Marsha, Suzanne, and let’s not forget Cheryl. They will cut you in a New York minute! And the men in that party are very, very afraid.

    So the bottom line is your choice to make when you vote for Mayor: Rick Davis who owes no one or Lloyd Winnecke who will have to deal with the women, the rich white men, both party insiders and, least of all…. your taxes?

    • This would also explain WHY Missy Mosby was spotted at a Winnecke fund raiser talking to Mr Parks…..or the statement made that Ms Mosby has been very helpful in the Winnecke campaign, just covering all her bases I’d guess?
