Yes, consistently losing money ! Claimed loss for 2014 was $ 300,000; and that is an IMPROVEMENT over the loss for 2013, which was claimed to be $ 470,000.
The director of the firm which runs the Ford Center stated ” the year was pretty solid”. Yes, any year you ONLY lose $ 300,000 it is a job well done ! Give that man a BONUS (and thus increase the loss for 2015 which is forthcoming) !
Makes one wonder how long Ford wants to have their companies name attached to the failed pariah. The Evansville downtown arena is another massive failure on a growing and expanding list, strung into and chained onto the backs and pocket books of the real active revenue base there.
The jiffy pop __ord center hasn’t made Evansville one thin dime in payback profits. Its a black hole vacuum sucking up the few more practical TIF contributions in that entire county.
Built on the wrong site, and squeezed onto a small geophysical profile, on a completely rotten utility infrastructure, only to bailout some cronies that they may cut and run as needed due a lacking of truly visionary locational positioning. The core essence is short sheeted by the extremely low logistical valuation.
Profits are driven by good logistics. That puny crammed on a half a block arena is flat out located on a piss poor infrastructure. Period. It’ll never be profitable even while the other venues are left to rot, in an weak and transparent attempt to fuel the billing of the _ord center. Terrible management, and it shows by its profit margins daily.
I would love to know how much cash Johnny Boy took under the table to push the fraud center? I believe he only works now as a cover – he doesn’t need the money.
