Taxpayers paying to demolish homes, and the same taxpayers paying to fund the building of new homes. The big winners in this process are the banks and the real estate companies.
I’m wondering if this has to do with the planned projects meant to replace the public housing units that will be lost when they turn Buckner and Kennedy Towers into un-needed dorms for the Med School.
WINDFALL PROFITS TAX
A tax levied by governments against certain industries when economic conditions allow those industries to experience above-average profits.
