  1. You still have the best, qualified candidate in Jacob Murphy who is and can still remain the current director – give the young man this opportunity to follow through on the job he was hired to do and give him his dignity and livelihood back. Mr. Murphy has proven he can handle the job and has a ton of supporters. If you need to let him go, then do it for a good reason, not just because he’s young and you owe a “friend” of yours a favor! What’s wrong with all of you Tuley, Musgrave and Shoulders?? We are so ashamed of this mess you’ve all caused for this young, talented and educated man’s life all due to your self righteous, political crap! No votes for any of you (Shoulders and Musgrave) the next time around.

  2. Way to “man up”, Mr. Tuley!
Unfortunately, Mr. Murphy now knows how little his ‘bosses’ support his good works and efforts. I would certainly understand his wanting to distance himself from this ‘Tammany’ Park fiasco.

“The most infamous example of machine politics was Tammany Hall, headquarters of the Democratic Party in New York City. Headed by William Marcy Tweed, the Tammany Hall political machine of the late 1860s and early 1870s used graft, bribery, and rigged elections to bilk the city of over $200 million. Some of this money went to create public jobs that helped people and supported the local economy. Some went into constructing public buildings at hugely inflated expense thus lining the pockets of building contractors and suppliers of materials. But contractors and suppliers, and anyone else doing business in the city, had to give kickbacks to the bosses in order to stay in business. Many machine bosses, including Boss Tweed, amassed fortunes as a result of kickbacks and bribes.”

      • Exactly the political model in E’ville, I knew they weren’t smart enough to come up with it on their own.

  3. Shoulders and Musgrave should resign from office, and then retire from the tristate political scene….

We can not allow them any chance to repeat this type of fiasco, and bring further embarrassment to our county…
