I would have liked to see Mike Humphrey (EFD, Retired) on this list. He served as EFD Fire Chief under Mayor Lloyd (200-2004), and was a highly effective, very well respected chief. He could have provided excellent counsel to Mayor-Elect Winnecke on filling that important position.
I would like to see Mayor-Elect Winnecke Appoint Mike Humphrey as the next Fire Chief. Well respected and fair. Not a vindictive bone in his body “unlike another Chief everyone knows”
Mr. Winnecke, much to his credit has assembled an amazing group for the transition, with Russ Lloyd Jr. as the centerpiece. Well done.
