ELECTION BOARD OVERTURNS DUCKWORTH’S CHALLENGE OF MICHAEL DAUGHERTY

reported by Johnny Kincaid
With a vote of 2-1, the Vanderburgh County election board has overturned the challenge of Michael Daugherty by county republican chair Mike Duckworth.
Duckworth filed the challenge to Daugherty’s candidacy for Precinct Committeeman and state convention delegate, using the two primary rule and Daugherty’s run for mayor as the reasons for the filing. Daugherty’s attorney, David Jones, successfully argued that the law provides an exception for a candidate who voted nonpartisan in a primary and that the law had no provision for eliminating a candidate for running for office with another party.

  1. Go Daughtery Go! I was there. The board acknowledged Daugherty had voted in 6 Republican primary elections and never a democrat primary. He is a true conservative.

Michael Daughtery for Rep County Chair!!!!
